While we are talking about Trip Recs New England?
Planning on flying into Boston and heading up to Maine in June/July. For you seasoned travelers how about some suggestions?

I have made that drive from Logan airport up to Maine several times for work. Lots of good eating all along the way, just stay away from the chains. Lots of good diners on US 1 for breakfast. Many areas and small towns along the coast to enjoy. Busy time up there though so accommodations can get pricy.

If you have the time Bar Harbor Maine and Acadia Nat'l Park is a MUST-DO! Was up last summer and loved every minute of it...only wish we had more time. We loved it so much we might even try to get back, even if just for a few days, this summer. If you decide to include Bar Harbor (or the Freeport to Portland to Bangor) corridor let me know and I'll be happy to give you some suggestions on dining, to see and do, etc.
