Yes, 7th grade football (7-1 record) and track throwing events. They have no idea how old I am, they just know I'm there everyday.

ESPN wouldn't give a rip if they all flunked out. They'd know that there would be 85 to replace them the next year.

It is interesting how so many of our fans whine about this away game moving to a Thursday when I guarantee you that well over 100k Tennessee fans will somehow find a way to make it work and I know that most of them do not live in Knoxville.

They'd put 100K in if they were playing Presbyterian.

I guess since the first 4 responses to this thread from AppState, diehardapp18, bh2oson and kiddbrewer were all negative it made me feel like people whining. I do agree that many others see it as a huge upside for the AppNation's upward spiral to national prominence.

Hey , I did say it made the 100 day countdown closer! My initial response was "ugh" because I cant make the trip because of work obligations and I was disappointed. However this is a positive for the program. I am already planning to watch the game at one of the local bars on Thursday night.

Same here...As a teacher, I could take the Friday off and drive to Knoxville for a Saturday game. But take Thursday and Friday off, during the first week of school? There are teachers, principals, and superintendents on the board and they know what I am saying.

So, no whining here, just a simple fact of disappointment for not being able to go because I've been looking forward to this for a long time.

Next time I'll put a disclaimer on any posts in the future.

That would be a great time for all the teachers in NC to stage a sick out and tell the legislature to shove it. Pay up to the people that will make your children successful. I'm telling you right now If I had a kid whose mother or father was a legislator I might just make parent teacher conferences a pay event.

Thanks, coach. I would love to have them but as long as they are put to good use by App fans or potential App fans, I'm a happy camper. We need all the black and gold hineys in the seats we can get.
