- Open the gates earlier that day and allow fans into their seats so they can really pack the place out.
- Host a bonfire on Duck Pond Field on Friday night to allow students, alumni, and staff the chance to hang out and prepare for the game.
- Make this game a total contrast to the ODU game by making it a black out. Provide everybody in the stadium a shirt for free.
- Hand out rally towels when people walk in to encourage them to get loud and keep the team energized.
- Figure out a way to make a beer garden finally happen before and after the game.
- Work with Downtown Boone/King Street to enhance the gameday experience from Galileo's down to Dan'l Boone Inn and back to the stadium.

Great ideas!
Add to this bunch of black and gold beach balls...we are playing MIAMI!....I don't care if we go 0-12 or 13-0 we need to become or prove the best little football town in America and Rock the ROCK!........ BLACK OUT and wave the terrible gold towels and slip in the cowbells for the traditional point and Olympic song kickoffs and plenty of AC DC music and in the voice of Mad Max and for the 3333rd time set up a booth after going thru gates on both sides have a booth selling raffle tickets for good cash prizes announced every quarter of the game to entice butts to stay in seats and raise some extra funds for stadium improvements. And above ALL show some CLASS to leave good impression to visitors!
You can raise hell rock the rock and be classy and hospitable at the same time! BE PROUD HET LOUD AND KEEP YO BUTT IN THE SEATS WIN OR ASS WHIPPED......BE PROUD TO BE A MOUNTAINEER!..... IF YOU MADE THE TRIP BOUGHT THE TICKET STAY AND WATCH THE GAME AND BACK THE BLACK AND GOLD. And btw would be nice to see Yosef ride in across the field on a black Harley Sportster GET REVVED and STAY REVVED MOUNTAIN STYLE! .....LITTLE BLUE GRASS PIPED IN TOO.

KICK ASS!!!!!!!!!

Is there any such thing as a day at the ROCK that is not memorable?

Was thinking the same thing bcoach. It could be that first game as a student, that first game as an alum, that first game you saw with your parents, that first game you saw with your child, that game a middle schooler sees that sparks the love for ASU, that last game you saw with a parent or friend, the only game you will see that season or the last game you will see. Make them all memorable!!!

The loss to Georgia Southern that ended our dominant home winning streak stung for me. However, Miracle on the Mountain (I was a kid), Furman semifinal game...all semifinal games for that matter, Marshall games as a child, the botched JMU field goal, Armanti Edwards miraculous drive after Elder went down that launched his phenomenal career....all erase the pain from the GSU loss...Many great games, with many great fans.

Added touch for future games.....car buffs and collectors make arrangements for a nicely restored A model truck, black of course with white block A on doors and with sideboards with Mountaineers inscribed to haul the cheerleaders in on the field.......with a mix of different old music piped in on different occasions be it the theme song from the Walton's or dueling banjos or cotton eyed Joe or any type of bluegrass or the Beverly hillbillies we could figure something out maybe wagon wheel from old crow medicine show/ hootie.

Here is to traditions and good times win or lose.
App family mountain style.
