This has been a curse in recent SBC history, let's change that this year.

It may be the kiss of death but I still love the way they're thinking. :D

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Even though it's been a few years, just like the Socon days, I'd like to welcome the return of the bulls-eye on this team's back. The FBS Apps have worked hard to reset the high expectations we are accustomed too. Now it's time for them to step-up to the challenge they've created through their work ethic and execution.

Is there a specific reason that we don't play Georgia Southern towards the end of the season during rivalry week? I guess I shouldn't be too upset, because that weekend is usually Thanksgiving weekend, but I personally feel looking at history and hate, on a smaller scale we are up there with some of the top rivalries played during that week.

Four Apps make pre-season SBC squads. Law and Boggs on defense. Lamb and Collins on offense. Law pre-season DPOY.

They are not our designated rival. Georgia State and Georgia Southern are declared rivals. I have a feeling coastal Carolina will assume that role for us.

Personally I'm happy to see our game with the eaglets is back in late October around Halloween. That said I wouldn't I care where we play them if it means that the game is on a Saturday again.

I don't feel Georgia Southern wants to play App at the end of the season because of the cold. They know that every other year they would be playing in only God knows what kind of weather. In Boone, it could be 60 or 20 degrees by the last game.

I agree ! Imo I believe we would have gone 12-1 last year if was not for the Thursday games . I know you get he extra media coverage on those nights but I have to ask does it out weight the risk ?Honestly if it were up to me which its not I would never play another mid week game .

You could argue we're better not playing them that weekend because we'd get overshadowed by all the other rivalry games. And of course not all rivalry games are in the last week. Miami-FSU, OU-Texas, Alabama-Tennessee to name a few.

Also once the SBC title game starts up, I'm fine with possibly playing a weaker opponent the week before that.

I would hope that they would not be considered a rivalry. It would like continuing to pretend that western was a rivalry.
