Ticket office is heavily suggesting people call early tomorrow. Not looking like many tix will be left for student guests.

Re: Hello...is there anybody in there...???
I hit redial for about 15 minutes this morning before getting into the automated call distributor, then listened to the canned message for about 5 more minutes before getting a very pleasant woman who was very helpful. I opted for the away side to get better seats, and landed 4 tickets in 112 and 4 GA tickets. The whole experience is about what I expected it would be, maybe a bit better. I didn't feel rushed by the woman helping me, and wondered if I would be since they have to know there's tons of calls waiting.
I will say this, I hope the ticket office takes some lessons learned and makes some improvements as we grow and the demand for single game tickets grows (future ECU game). Not that they're not doing a great job already.

How much are the single game tickets again? My seats are in 111, I'm sure there are none left near there but thinking about scooping up some additional if I can.

My day is tomorrow. Those of you who purchased GA tickets, how much were they a piece?

This all seems like a hassle, but it is definitely a good problem to have financially for App.

Re: Hello...is there anybody in there...???
Got through after 4 rings and got 2 tickets in 202.
I was told by a young church friend who is a freshman, that at orientation they were told that some of the student section ticket would to on sale and that students would have to go into a lottery for Miami tickets. They may go for that with this high demand????

Of course they will. We could have all the students in KBS we wanted if we had room.weavneerfan wrote:Got through after 4 rings and got 2 tickets in 202.

I went by the office on Wednesday morning to get Miami tickets for a co-worker. Ran into Jim Fox who's always a hoot. Every desk was busy, including the one by the window. The person on the phone while I waited bought season tickets.
All tickets that were left were on the east side.

Oh student rumors, how you never cease. I remember before the 2008 season opener there was a big rumor that the stadium failed inspection and that they would have to cancel the game. Thanks cheerleaders for that one.weavneerfan wrote:I was told by a young church friend who is a freshman, that at orientation they were told that some of the student section ticket would to on sale and that students would have to go into a lottery for Miami tickets. 100% of students will be able to get into the game. Guests, not so much.

Re: Hello...is there anybody in there...???
I added an additional season ticket on Monday as it was the only way to guarantee a seat beside me for the wife. She can only make 3 games, but it was worth it to not take a chance waiting for my day on Wednesday. It cost $60 more verses buying 3 individual game tickets, but I just look at that as an additional donation.T-Dog wrote:I went by the office on Wednesday morning to get Miami tickets for a co-worker. After about 45 minutes of a bust signal, I got in. 2 in 206 and 4 on the hill.

Re: Hello...is there anybody in there...???
I'm starting to doubt whether these will sell out before the public on-sale. There actually seem to be a decent number left on the West side (given the previous post about seats in 206, and I was told there were seats available in 202), and I was able to get four in the fifth row of 112.
I'm sure they'll move a lot of tickets today, but those are some pretty choice seats to be had this late in the week.

Re: Hello...is there anybody in there...???
Is there a secret code to get to a human? I've called 211 times - either a busy signal or a record voice that directs one to press 0. Once doing that, it rings a number of times, then David Jackson's voice comes on the line with the same instructions, but pressing 0 does nothing...............
Guess I'll keep trying. Glad I'm retired.

Re: Hello...is there anybody in there...???
Finally got in after 54 tries of busy. Once it rings and you hear David just let it keep on talking until someone picks up. The wife and I couldn't afford season tickets this year so I was happy to get 2 in section 112. The lady on the phone was very calm and nice. She upped my yosefscabin club donation for me and gave me a choice of 15 yard line west side or 35 east side or general admission. Good luck to everyone else! Now I need to decide what other game I can attend this year.

I was so pumped when I finally got someone. Sadly, my day was Wednesday and it took me until Thursday to get through.
