I do not want to sound heartless, but I have trouble believing that you cannot afford a $100 donation to the Yosef club which comes to a $8.33 pledge per month. If you were able to swing this amount, you would have been able to order last Friday. My biggest pet peeve is that many of my friends who tailgate with me and who are supposedly avid App State football fans making the trip to Boone for every home football game soaking up the Game Day experience, but yet are not members of the Yosef Club. I just don't get it. Maybe purchasing the two Miami tickets for $120 put a dent in your budget for this year and if so, I only ask that you try to set aside $100 next year to join the Yosef Club. You will begin accumulating points and you will not regret being a member. I signed my son up when he enrolled as a freshman. He is now a senior and has accumulated points for three years and has reaped some perks being a member. I would recommend all parents taking their son or daughter to Boone in two weeks who are beginning their freshman year to do the same and enroll them in the Student Yosef Club.
You probably just told him more about Yosef Club than the school has ever told. That's the problem is people aren't told they can make monthly payments or that even a $100 donation is enough to get early ticket preference. Hell I didn't know about the monthly option until Daphne told me months ago. As a result I increased my donation amount. The athletic department needs to do a better job with promoting Yosef Club and it's affordability.
Communication has definitely not been the best skill on the mountain. I know there have been significant efforts in the past few years to improve that.

E-mail and social media are the most cost effective ways to get the word out quickly to a large audience. The problem there is that the university doesn't have the correct email addresses for everyone. Accurate contact information is crucial. If I change my email address and don't update my Gold Book and Yosef information, the university loses me as a contact.

Communication has always been a two way street. If your Gold Book information http://www.alumni.appstate.edu/s/1727/s ... =2&pgid=61 isn't up to date, please update it now. If you're part of Yosef already, you can login to your Yosef account https://tkt.xosn.com/donor/DonorProfile ... M_ID=21500 to be sure that your Yosef information (billing address, shipping address, email, phone) is current.

If you have questions about joining Yosef, I'm happy to answer what I can.

Was Yosef Member for years. This year we just had different priorities and our budget didn't fit into it.

Nevermind... Snagged a few this morning! It's going to be interesting watching this game outside of our "usual" seats!

Everyone has priorities and we should be respectful of that. Some support Appalachian Athletics via Yosef Club first then season tickets or single game tickets, while some support via tickets then Yosef Club (or not). Me personally I only buy tickets for those that give some sort of donation to Appalachian whether that be Yosef, COB, or others.

Every dollar does count, good luck getting single game tickets today.

Does the Hayes School of Music count? ;)

True....Vegattk could have said screw it and watch the game from home and not give App State any type of money. At least he contributed to some revenue with his ticket purchase.

Another anecdote for the communication issues - I've been a YC member for a few years and I didn't get my membership renewal mailer this year. I just assumed they didn't produce one until I stumbled across the electronic version on the website last week: http://www.appstatesports.com/ViewArtic ... M_ID=21500

Wouldn't be a big deal except that this was the first reference I have seen to the Rise With Us program still being in place for 2016. I've pledged and upped my donation the previous two years under this program and would have done the same this year, but they haven't really promoted it at all. And there has never been a way to make RWU pledges online - it's mail or (I assume) phone only, which is crazy.

I waited in a queue on the web for about 25 minutes but got two tickets Section 212 Row H. At the last minute I talked my wife in to going with me. Our App daughter ended up being as excited as I was.

I know someone else starts the prediction threads for scores, but I will start a prediction thread for my wife's supper that day - Jean Lawson at Pepper's.

Cool. If it's any consolation for those who didn't land Miami tickets, I found plenty of good seats to choose from for Texas State this morning.

Assuming there will be no student guests tickets en masse at least, they should have a few tickets for students that join the Student Yosef Club, even if only to enter a drawing for a few tickets for guests. Get the students hooked in early to giving back to the school.

Of course that assumes there are a few tickets that could be given away when the game is posted as sold out.

Thanks for this anecdote. I'm pretty sure I got a mailer though it may have been at the YCAB retreat. It seems that every day has something Yosef in it for me. What a great problem to have!

Does this mean general admission seating is sold out or just reserved seating?

My buddy pulled 5 tickets to Miami this morning but he couldn't get seats together. Got three seats that are separated in one section and had to buy 2 grass tickets. Should be a packed house!!! Can't wait! This was at 9am as soon as they went on sale
