Communication has definitely not been the best skill on the mountain. I know there have been significant efforts in the past few years to improve that./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:You probably just told him more about Yosef Club than the school has ever told. That's the problem is people aren't told they can make monthly payments or that even a $100 donation is enough to get early ticket preference. Hell I didn't know about the monthly option until Daphne told me months ago. As a result I increased my donation amount. The athletic department needs to do a better job with promoting Yosef Club and it's affordability.GOAPPS37 wrote:I do not want to sound heartless, but I have trouble believing that you cannot afford a $100 donation to the Yosef club which comes to a $8.33 pledge per month. If you were able to swing this amount, you would have been able to order last Friday. My biggest pet peeve is that many of my friends who tailgate with me and who are supposedly avid App State football fans making the trip to Boone for every home football game soaking up the Game Day experience, but yet are not members of the Yosef Club. I just don't get it. Maybe purchasing the two Miami tickets for $120 put a dent in your budget for this year and if so, I only ask that you try to set aside $100 next year to join the Yosef Club. You will begin accumulating points and you will not regret being a member. I signed my son up when he enrolled as a freshman. He is now a senior and has accumulated points for three years and has reaped some perks being a member. I would recommend all parents taking their son or daughter to Boone in two weeks who are beginning their freshman year to do the same and enroll them in the Student Yosef Club.vegattk wrote:Wasn't able to afford Yosef this year... Going to try to call in the morning with fingers crossed. In case I can't get through would any MMBer's have 2 extras that this old MMBer would need for Miami?
E-mail and social media are the most cost effective ways to get the word out quickly to a large audience. The problem there is that the university doesn't have the correct email addresses for everyone. Accurate contact information is crucial. If I change my email address and don't update my Gold Book and Yosef information, the university loses me as a contact.
Communication has always been a two way street. If your Gold Book information http://www.alumni.appstate.edu/s/1727/s ... =2&pgid=61 isn't up to date, please update it now. If you're part of Yosef already, you can login to your Yosef account https://tkt.xosn.com/donor/DonorProfile ... M_ID=21500 to be sure that your Yosef information (billing address, shipping address, email, phone) is current.
If you have questions about joining Yosef, I'm happy to answer what I can.
