Give 'em credit for trying, but I don't think it's going to do them any good.

ECU no way gets in. It's very comical reading their message board. Big headed unrealistic bafoons.
That said, hypothetically if cincy, Memphis go why wouldn't we submit an application for the American. You never know and we are close to that footprint. I know it's absurd, just saying why not. I'd assume WKU, MTSU OR LA TECH get the look though.

Re: Possibles for Big 12 expansion
This isn't likely to be a popular post here, but App's chances of getting an AAC invite should they lose 3-4 members is only slightly better than ECU's chances at the Big 12.
Athletics are mostly about football, but other factors will hurt both programs. Really our resumes are the same we both are better at football, football attendance, donor giving, than our peers that would apply for the respective conferences.

Agreed, and I am speaking purely hypothetical. I understand there is little to no chance of us going to the American conference. That said, no remaining school in the G5 outside of the American is that different from us.

I agree that we'd be a longshot and I think most get that, but I also agree that if they have an opening, there's no reason for us not to make our case for it.

Why do I get the feeling my dear (sic) V. Foxx would NOT do this for App.EastHallApp wrote:That is, unquestionably, correct. However, I think they're just doing what any governor would and should do - advocating for a move that would be an economic boon for one of the state's largest universities and its surrounding community. I don't think it will make much difference - especially since I don't believe the Big XII is seriously considering ECU - but if App were in a similar position I'd sure hope our elected officials would do the same for us.App91 wrote:

Apparently ECU really wants in on the Big XII expansion, so much that Greenville's mayor and city council members are openly courting them. http://www.underdogdynasty.com/2016/7/2 ... -expansion
