Any luck Goose? I'm in the market for a pass for Miami as well, if anyone has one they're willing to part with.

Re: Looking to purchase parking pass(es) for Miami game
I posted this in another thread. It's just an FYI. Bottom line, I would be surprised if there's an extra pass to be had for the Miami game.
Based on the packing we did for tickets last week, I believe the Miami game will be the first time that "festival parking" may translate to more cars than spaces for those lots. While it's true that festival parking has never guaranteed a parking spot, we've never had a problem because all the pass holders haven't shown up for the same game. Miami will be a different story altogether.
My guess is that athletics will announce additional festival areas to handle the overflow from the Rivers St and Liberry decks. If I had a pass in either deck, I'd plan on being there when the deck opens (Daphne's guess is 8:00 on lots opening).

Saw that Daphne - I know there won't be extras, but since I couldn't get one through Yosef, I figure the next step is to see if anyone has one to spare, however unlikely. Seems like getting to the game might be a challenge.

I've got one Festival Parking pass in River St deck I'm not using. If either of you want it, no charge.

Daphne, i noted last year in music lot that it was at most half full most games and some spots never had anyone in them. I assumed these spots were unsold through yosef and left empty. If that is the case, would it not make sense to sell these spaces weekly and compete for the private market $$ for parking? (if that is not the case then my whole post is moot!DaphneUrquhart wrote:I posted this in another thread. It's just an FYI. Re: Looking to purchase parking pass(es) for Miami game
I'm not sure on that for either Music or Stadium. I know a certain number in Stadium in the past have been held for visiting dignitaries, but I'm not sure what that number is. On the surface of things, the idea of selling a single game experience for $X to Yosef sounds good. The drawback I can see is folks foregoing the season ticket / season pass in favor of a chance at a single game experience. It also might be nice to take a young alum who's committed a few years and give them a "spot upgrade" for a game to encourage continued giving. I love hearing all the ideas folks have. Keep 'em coming!App91 wrote:

Re: Looking to purchase parking pass(es) for Miami game
I have wondered about this too. Greenwood lot requires a $1,000 donation, with that amount increasing for Duncan, Raley, Justice and Stadium. I don't know how many spaces there are in those lots total, but we have heard that there are only around 3,000 active YC members, and I'm sure many (most?) are below the $1,000 level. Then presumably there are some at the $1,000 and up levels who don't buy season tickets in a given year.App91 wrote: Daphne, i noted last year in music lot that it was at most half full most games and some spots never had anyone in them. It's just hard for me to believe that all those spots are filled by donors at the levels prescribed in the benefits chart.

I think some in Greenwood and Raley are reserved for students, not sure how they are assigned.EastHallApp wrote:I have wondered about this too. Re: Looking to purchase parking pass(es) for Miami game
Parking levels are still based on demand rather than a specific donation. For example, the stadium lot is listed as a $2500 lot. The reality is that about 65% of passes in the stadium lot are held by $2500 donors. The remaining passes are held by folks who give less than $2500 per year but have the highest point rank in the next giving tier down from $2500 ($1500 IIRC). So a current year $2500 donation would get you into the stadium lot and, at least in theory, bump out one of the $1500 folks.EastHallApp wrote:I have wondered about this too. By comparison, consider that when I first joined Yosef, a donation of $1000 per year was sufficient to land a stadium lot pass. As overall donations have increased, the requirements to maintain that spot have risen as well.
