I just read an article on my Yosef Club account referring to Go Fight Win as a fund drive for a new video board.

A new video board is desperately needed, and I will throw my donation money at that campaign to support it. I do hope the new video board includes an upgraded audio package as well.

When they are trying to get ECU to come to Boone as well as more notable P5 programs, having the capacity to seat 35 to 45,000 fans is a necessity. While sell out's ofr the P5 games are great, App could've sold 40,000 tickets to the Miami game if that many seats were available.
Sure ODU isn't as great of a draw as a P5 however that is mostly due to the end result of last years game as well as the fact that App went 11-2 last season. ODU is considered one of the lower tier teams much like playing Coastal Carolina or a MEAC team was in 05-11.

Cabooses... ! That aside... Capacity needs to increase if we do have a serious desire to get big games in Boone.. Hand in hand with that will come the need to really up the season ticket holder numbers.. Don't need to suffer from what man of the MAC schools suffer from..

Thinking track removal needs to be a part of that vision.

I could be wrong but when I think "Vision" I think pretty long-term and pretty big, so hopefully this is the start of the next phase in the life of Kidd Brewer Stadium, in whatever form (expansion/retrofit/etc.) that might be. I'm glad this wasn't teased 2 months ago and we only have to wait 72 hours-ish.
I agree. Some committee sat down and drew out a long term plan of some sort. And you're right, 3 days is a much easier wait than months.
Same here re: the wait to reveal. However, I'm always leery of getting hopes up over teasers just to find out it's nothing big.

I'm in agreement with DG that until we are consistently maxing out butts in seats, we should not put money into expansion efforts. I'd rather spend money on enhancements to the base that is already in place. Love the idea of a new and hopefully larger video board!

I'm all in for a new video board....However #GoFightWin campaign seems too politically correct for me. I like a #GoFightKickAss campaign to generate more buzz from AppNation.

Very excited to see what they have in mind. Gillin can just peruse the various threads on this board over the past couple years and he'll have the ideas part covered. All he has to do is go find a sugar daddy to pay for it all and we're set!

This sounds like exactly what we need IMO. Looking forward to seeing the plan.

Expansion vs. improvements. A big increase to capacity, I agree, isn't warranted right now. But there are a number of enhancements that would be beneficial for the stadium and the program.
