Was that the most well rounded offense we have faced? They ran effectively, thew the ball all ovwr thw field and had the athletes to make thw catches. I am actually impressed with Akron compared to what we have faced so far

I believe our pass "D" is very weak at this point of the season.

Yeah they were a pretty good ball team.

I had a brief chuckle at the end of the game though, when I was a bit disappointed that we let them back into it I thought to myself "hell I'd be losing my mind 5 years ago, if we beat Akron by a TD in Akron". Funny how the bar continues to rise for this program that I think "eh, that was a decent performance from our guys".

They made some great catches but yea we need to get better. Not to say this was the best team we have faced (far from that) they ran their offense pretty well though.

Considering they beat Utah State last year to win a bowl you had to know they were gonna be a good opponent. We're 2-2 and the wins are against whom most would have said so and the losses the same. From here on it's all conference games. No excuses. Go Apps!

Their offense was the perfect matchup against our defense. Probably only Troy will have an offense in our Sunbelt slate that even comes close.

I'd say Troy has the better offense, when we meet, we had better be prepared.

The Troy game will likely be similar to today (and last season).

We beat a team likely going to a bowl game at their place. Offense played much better. Defense will continue to improve. Very proud of the guys for digging deep.

We beat a good team on the road who hung 65 on Marshall last week and did it without our #1 offensive weapon. We are .500, right where we thought we'd be, and had a great chance at 3-1. 2nd season begins Saturday. Go APP!!!

We have a team of winners. It may not always be pretty, but they get the job done.

We may have to start talking about a co #1 offensive weapon.

5-0.

We are now 5-0 against G5 non-conference opponents the last 2 seasons. Just need to add an AAC scalp to the board.

Moore is the real deal - running game looking bright into the future ...
O-line is playing really well - created lanes for the run and no sacks on Taylor
Great to see a lot more activity in the passing game - good to see us moving the ball in the air ...
Lots of guys involved in the offense as receivers
run defense looks solid - though they are a pass-heavy offense and did break a couple of long runs on us ...
pass defense? well 2 ints, some sacks and some pressure on the QB, but they were definitely able to move the ball on us in the air
Solid play by freshmen Watkins and Evans

Very impressed with OL once again. Very impressed with TJ Watkins dude has some speed and size. Darrington Evans is a stud. Duck played well again. Impressed with little Absher too.

Jalin Moore was phenomenal and glad to see more patient using the line picking hole moving north and south..... vision improved looked like Marcus.

Taylor Lamb looked better too.....felt like some of his best passes were dropped today.

Hopkins looked like he was playing hurt so did many of the guys on defense. Too me some of guys on D looked gimpy or step or two slow. Law looked little off today. Sims and Gilchrist looked sharp. AJ Howard looked sharper and Duck continues to amaze.

Still saw some confusion at times on the subbing and play calls but all in all team looked better.

Kicker still scares me to death and didn't understand that last kickoff by Critçh but hey we won......win is a win and anytime you beat a Bowden with bunch of transfers and a good QB and receivers you take it with pride. Expected them to be tougher hanging 65 on Marshall but taste of victory is sweet.
