Georgia State Discussion

Unread post by Rekdiver » Sun Sep 25, 2016 11:53 am

Last game was a close one against Wisconsin. They had a bye last week. Akron was a solid W but now we focus on GSU. Lets start the week!

I think BigC posted this on twitter, but Jalin Moore ran for more yards yesterday than GaSt has run for so far this season. Defense needs to pin their ears back and make life hell for whoever the new QB is

That scares me if GSU is passing that well. That definitely seems to be our weakness on D.

All starts up front where we can't get any pressure

its not that they're passing that well. they have never had a running game, so they're forced to throw all the time. i think we'll be ready

I hope this is the week Nate and his staff unleash the defense. We need to beat somebody and beat them bad! Go Apps!

Looking at their stats they are averaging 202 passing yards and 47 rushing so far. Only 3 passing TD's so far. So not exactly dynamic. The passing attacks we faced the past two weeks were much more formidable.

Arbuckle was a big reason GaSt passing game was so effective the past few years. now that he's no longer there, looks like they are really struggling

Their defense is vastly improved, our defense has to be ready to defend the pass. They have an NFL caliber WR in Penny.

They won't be able to stop the run against us.

I do however think they have a chance at scoring more than 3 points against us this year. Probably not much more though. Air Force isn't that good, and I think Wisconsin just had an off week against them.

Maybe GaSt gets 7 points this year?

I also agree about Wisconsin, seeing how they handled Michigan State yesterday

We can pack in KBS for Black Saturday and make it so loud that the Panthers won't be able to think straight. That'll help out.

I'm concerned about the attendance next week. Out of our group of ten, six are not able to be there next week. And I see a lot of tickets being offered in the Ticket Exchange.

The Miami effect. Buy season tix to secure Miami attendance, dump the rest.

Probably the case for a lot of those tickets. Not for my group though.

I suspect you're right and that we'll see this the rest of the season. Eliminating the half-season plan probably succeeded in selling more full-season tickets but also resulted in people buying tickets for games they can't or don't want to attend.

Georgia State played a great game vs Wisconsin. Other than that they have looked bad in two other games. They gave up 79 points to Ball State and Air Force.
