If the Akron QB was tripped by one of our players, he wouldn't have been angry at himself like he was. He would have been yelling at the refs.

Yeah, I first thought we had tripped him too, but he got up angry with himself for falling.

If I recall correctly it was 4th and 15 and Akron was out of timeouts. They had little chance of converting anyway regardless of whether their QB stumbled over his own feet.

I thought the DLineman was trying to change direction to get to QB.

I agree. He tripped on the o linemen. Rewatching the game last night and I did not realize how annoying the announcers were the first time I watched it.

Looked like our DLineman was being spun around by the Akron OLineman who was on the wrong side. I'm guessing that, if we had a better view, he was being held or he would have made a clean sack of the QB. It's hard to really tell, but I don't see it as tripping.

So about that trip, do not repeat, do not watch RISE this week if you want to believe it wasn't a trip.

The latest episode of Rise shows that he was held, o-lineman had two big handfuls of jersey but wasn't called. However that was a fourth down play and the qb hit the ground. Our ball and we ran the clock out.
