Proud of the way the Apps are playing tonight without Burns and Cox.

Defense is playing well without Law too!

Cannot wait until the 21st! Is it me, or does it seem like forever since App has had a home game?

Comfortable lead but we can't play two halves. A mystery to me.

Hope we get some kids healthy in the next 10 days. Idaho is 3-3 and very improved. Next week should be a good game. Go Apps!

Pretty obvious, we are not trying to play two halves. Scott gets a decent lead and he closes the playbook and becomes more concerned with burning clock than scoring. We can get away with that with the defense we have, but I dread the day it bites us in the ass.

ULL has a great program. It was a Wednesday night game most G5 us included would not draw well. I might be wrong but did they not beat ECU in the NO bowl two years in a row prior to us joining the SB? They are on a skid right now but no way they can be compared to Furman. Idaho does not belong and they are being kicked for a better FCS program that brings a shit load more than FB. We soon get a conference championship game. No way I would go back. I have to say the bowl game last year was every bit as fun and got us more coverage on ESPN than any of the NC. The NC's were awesome and I would not minimize them at all but this is our reality now. I'm sorry but the football is so much better. This team would destroy any of our NC teams. We are so much bigger and deeper. I get missing the rivalry but we are developing some good ones with stAte and GASt reminds me of Elon, they want to beat us so bad. This is good and it is where we belong right now.

Honestly the Sun Belt is not much if any better than the SoCon (when we and GeoSou were there). I think the fact that GeoSou and us came in and dominated clearly reveals this to be the case. There are really atrocious teams and not many good ones, even one that is dropping back to FCS. Cobb was a joke but he was right to say that the Sun Belt is no different than the top FCS conferences. BUT that is not the point. The Sun Belt was always a vehicle for other opportunities, such as having Wake and UM at home and setting up rivalries with UNCC and ECU over time. The question was whether the big increase the annual operating deficit was worth it. The trends were bad for G5 (worse than FCS) at the time of the decision, but the plan is to buck the trends and break out. So far we have pulled it off. Need to pull off a big win or two for the next step.

Obviously, we need to let every opponent play us closer and give up a few touchdowns to convince ourselves that the Sun Belt is better than the SoCon.

That's a clown opinion.

I can honestly say I'd rather see App play Furman right now than this shit. At least I could enjoy the rivalry factor. I thought the promise was better competition. What's done is done, but damn I think it's a joke for us to play in this shitty conference. We deserve better.

I'm braced for the arguments.
Moving to the FBS wasn't about playing the likes of ULL and Georgia State, though. It's about hosting ODU, Miami, Wake Forest, Wyoming, ECU, and any other FBS team. That's why we're here and I don't foresee us sticking around the Sun Belt for the long haul.
This is the answer.

We didn't move up to FBS to join the Sun Belt. We joined the Sun Belt to move up to FBS.
