Shotgun snaps

Unread post by 85gradinATL » Wed Oct 26, 2016 10:50 am

Did anyone notice that in the last few offensive series Saturday, TEC was in at center? Collins was moved over to guard, so I don't think anything was wrong with him. It seems the snaps haven't been quite as crisp the last few weeks and maybe Satt is looking for more consistency there.

If TEC is being transitioned in at Center and Collins can move back to guard, that only strengthens the OL. I think this was the goal all along. Great catch. I didn't notice that.

Well, after Collins floated that one over Lamb's head, & a couple others were pretty high as well, I'd say that was a good move. "Not quite as crisp" is too polite. Some of the snaps stank.

But ... based on what I have seen, Collins has quite the attitude. Which is fine for the OL. I'm OK with that, just as long as no more penalties result. He got flagged for a 15 yarder personal foul on first set of downs in the Tennessee game.

Sattefield said he was fine with Collins 15-yarder vs Tennessee because it set the mood

TEC was the guy through spring, but his legal problems but him in the dog house, plus he missed the first part of camp.

Last year during the stAte game, when Chapman got injured and Collins came in at center, I recall that he was having some big problems with his snaps. No big deal, as he wasn't used to the position, but there have been a few other times when his snaps aren't as crisp as they could have been.

Not a knock on Collins. Just saying there is some precedent.

Honestly last week was the first time it was apparent this season. That being said he was all over the place and it hampered the rhythm several times.
