It's a Satterfield...Definitely!
Press Conference tomorrow. Scott has accepted an offer. He just returned from a SC recruiting trip and will hit the road after the presser to go to the Georgia state HS championships.

We're all stunned by the news! Hope this happens, and quickly, so we can move on in many ways. Any news on the FBS front? Think the Sun Belt is waiting on Ga Southern to finish their season before making any announcements?

If you people are shocked and stunned then the App State nation is more clueless than I originally thought. Anyone with moderately functioning brain cells could see that Satterfield was going to be who this "nation wide" search selected more than a week ago. I believe it is the correct choice, and wish Scott the best. However, it is in no way shocking.
Satterfield all along, was going to be the best choice to lead this team. What is going to be interesting to see, is weather or not it will be in the FBS, as that is very much in doubt after the Big East announcement today.

More of a reply to Watauga72 than you 66. I could tell you were kind of tongue in cheek.

Wow! You wanna talk about "clueless?" This has got to be the most unintentionally funny post to hit the MMB in a long time.

If it doesn't happen it will rain on our parade.

LOL@Appersrule
Sarcasm is "a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter gibe or taunt",[1] usually conveyed through irony or understatement.[2] Most authorities distinguish sarcasm from irony;[3] however, others argue that sarcasm may or often does involve irony[4] or employs ambivalence.[5]
We've known it's going to be Satterfield for a year, take it easy there.

Re: It's a Satterfield...Definitely!
Last year I was sitting in my home when suddenly a small fly began to annoy me. I reached for my fly swatter with the intent. Suddenly, the fly looking at me with desperation in each of his five glowing eyes. My arm was not caring and in motion when suddenly the fly spoke... "Please, don't hit me I am a Mountaineer"... Caught off guard I held the swipe. As the fly and I stared at each other I heard myself saying, "APP" (yes it was a test)... Then the tiny reply "STATE". I knew then the fly would live and the fly and I were to be friends. I then invited the fly to share BBQ and beer (disgusting as that may sound). The fly and I had much to say to each other that day, as he gave me the inside buzz on happenings in Boone, and in particular ASU. He told me then that he was THE FLY ON THE WALL when AD Cobb met with SS to discuss his return to Boone. I was told the conversation in the room was light of heart and most positive. Cobb saying then you can agree to XY & Z for this season at this amount of $$$... and of course while I can only give you a 99.9999 per cent chance of being named HC next season we can still make a gentleman's agreement? You know Scott, I can't yet give you the offer in BLACK on paper or finalize the GOLD until we jump the legal hoops and pretend at a vacancy? Come on board this season and be sure not to step on "people that count" and we will have a bond. The fly from that wall then told me how they both laughed and winked, and with a twinkle in Cobb's eye and a nod from SS head they did next what the fly thought to be an odd thing.... They both reached under the table to shake hands. END OF STORY...NEVER A DOUBT... CONGRATS TO OUR NEW HEAD COACH... NO MATTER WHAT REALLY HAPPENED? THE ENDING IS STILL A GOOD ONE (the ends justifying the means)... TO ALL AN ASU FAN, THE VICTORY BELLS WILL BE RINGING AND NEXT SEASON WILL BE MERRY. Oh, I don't believe in fairy tales either.... THAT IS WHY THERE IS NO SURPRISE ENDING... SS IS THE MAN AS CONFIRMED BY NONE OTHER THAN THE FLY. WISH THE FLY WERE STILL AROUND TO CONFIRM FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE DOUBTERS AND NEED THE LINK... HE HOWEVER IS GONE TO WHEREVER GOOD FLIES GO. HE FELL INTO THE DIPPING SAUCE AND LEFT ON A WING.
