I didn't like what the national newspapers reported on our victory so I am writing a more appropriate version:
"Appalachian State's defense and the legs of QB Taylor Lamb along with record setting back Marcus Cox were instrumental in the victory over an offensively prolific Toledo team. The aggressive Appalachian defense held Toledo to a season low total yardage gained and set the stage for the 31-28 victory after a Michael Rubino field goal by forcing a 4th Quarter field goal attempt stopping the Rockets on 3rd and 1 from the 18 yard line. The pregame predictions of a big Toledo offensive day were overshadowed by the heady performance of App QB Taylor Lamb and his 160 yards rushing on just 8 carries. Not to be out done his backfield mate Senior Marcus Cox joined the elite 5,000 yard career rushing club (only 18 FBS players have achieved this goal) by rushing for 140 yards. Cox also became one of the few to rush for at least 1,000 yards in each of his seasons, this despite missing 4 games in this campaign. Appalachian State, the SunBelt Conference Champion achieved further accolades by being the first FBS program to win its first two bowl games after becoming eligible following a move from the FCS."
Just saying..........

Bravo ! When we got back on Sunday and watched the replay of the game, I really could not believe the lack of commentary about our team. It seemed like the play by play guys respected Toledo more that our program. I guess we showed them! So proud of our University, our Coaches and our team!
Its Great ......To Be.....A Mountaineer!!!
