We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Sadly lot of good ones come and gone. Too difficult for me to pick one. I have to pick a 1-2-3 by category.

Breakfast: Shatley Springs in West Jefferson or Dan'l Boone Inn in Boone

Pregame:. Woodlands BBQ in Blowing Rock

Postgame:. Mokotos
KICK ASS!!!

Ahhh yes Shatley Springs...Hidden jewel in Crumpler off of 16. My dad grew up about a mile away and anytime I come to Boone I go 81 to 77 to 421. Coming back home in VA usually Sunday mornings is always 16 through Mouth Of Wilson, Independence, and Galax, just so I can hit Shatley Springs on the way through. Anyone who has never been needs to go. They only accept cash or checks and prepare to wait for a table. Food is well worth the wait and IMO better than Daniel Boone. Similar family style.

Been the same since I was a six year old boy visiting the high country with my parents. Grandview on 105 in foscoe across from the entrance to seven devils. Best biscuits and gravy on this planet.

For a nice upscale dinner, gamekeeper cannot be beat on shulls mill drive. I always get the mixed game grill appetizer.
