Do you know if there are any matching gift programs for veterans? If so you could give $125 and use the match to get to $250 and that would get you festival parking (River Street or Library deck). I know $125 is not small money for someone trying to save but just an example. Also you can give any amount.NoLongerLurking wrote:Does Yosef Club offer disabled veteran discounts? That would be cool, I'll look into it. Thank you.appbio91 wrote:Do you know if there are any matching gift programs for veterans? Re: Paying Yosef in Installments - Update
I received an email this morning from Alan Daniel. He had followed up with the software folks after our conversation. Seems there really was a "glitch" that has either been fixed or is being fixed.
I hear what everyone is saying about a functional website - believe me. I'm glad to see that steps are being taken to improve things now and will continue to insist that our current web infrastructure is sometimes more of a hindrance than a help. Keep being politely vocal, folks. That's how change comes about.

Is PayPal too costly?JTApps1 wrote:I tired using the online feature to setup monthly installments last year and make a multi-year pledge to increase my points and it was a mess. Ending up calling in and the staff got me setup pretty quickly. I don't mind calling, but everyone is so used to do things like bill pay and donations online these days that some people will get turned off. Unfortunately the people most likely to give up will be new donors and people that are on the fence about giving anyway. If we want to grow the YC we have to make it as easy as possible especially for younger alumni that don't use the phone much to do business.
I don't see why we can't setup a YC specific page or a link to an online payment system that is separate from what the university uses? I've had to setup these types of systems at work and it's really not that difficult although there is some cost of course. That cost would easily get offset by increased donations. Whoever we use for credit cards at the concession stands should be able to set this up. If not seems like a good time to shop around.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Based on your information, I just went back to the website and tried again. It worked! At least for my Yosef contribution. There still is no option that I can see to spread the cost of the season tickets, but at least I got the Yosef part taken care of.

Haven't worked with PayPal so I'm not sure what their fee structure is.scatman77 wrote:Is PayPal too costly?JTApps1 wrote:I tired using the online feature to setup monthly installments last year and make a multi-year pledge to increase my points and it was a mess. I'll add to this making a functional mobile app that also offers the ability for ticket sales. It blows My mind in this day and age you cannot purchase single game tickets through our mobile App and/or donate. We gotta make the product accessible to the customer.JTApps1 wrote:I tired using the online feature to setup monthly installments last year and make a multi-year pledge to increase my points and it was a mess. Can't speak to the veteran discount but you should also be eligible for the Young Alumni program of Yosef Club for up to 5 years after you graduate. It essentially allows your donation dollars to count as double for those 5 years. It lets you get a tailgate spot and primo seats at half price!NoLongerLurking wrote:Does Yosef Club offer disabled veteran discounts? Correct. "Young" alumni can be quite advanced in years. It would be better titled "Recent" alumni.Appftw wrote:Can't speak to the veteran discount but you should also be eligible for the Young Alumni program of Yosef Club for up to 5 years after you graduate.
