Re: Schedule Release Tomorrow??
I figured they'd stick us with GS on Thursday yet again. Didn't know it would be in November to boot. Not exactly fan friendly. Then giving us an extra week off after the Thursday game is just weird.
Otherwise, looks fine.

Re: Schedule Release Tomorrow??
Wonder if there's still a good chance the UGA game could be moved to Thursday night also? Seems like the Tennessee game was moved relatively late last year from Sat to Thurs due to ESPN. Seems like we're getting some press already drawing attention to that being a trap game for UGA since they travel to Notre Dame the next week.

Re: Schedule Release Tomorrow??
Pure speculation, but I wonder if our reluctance (really more so Miami's) to move the game to Friday night rubbed ESPN the wrong way and they only gave us one weekday TV game? When in reality we'd prefer it that way for home games.hapapp wrote:Troy, USA, UL, GS, and StAte have two weeknight games. On the other hand, ULM, NMSU, and Coastal have none. The rest of us have one.

Doubt it - more likely due to the fact that we just don't have many appealing games for TV this year.Saint3333 wrote:Pure speculation, but I wonder if our reluctance (really more so Miami's) to move the game to Friday night rubbed ESPN the wrong way and they only gave us one weekday TV game? For perspective, the MAC released their football schedule this afternoon. The entire conference has ZERO Saturday games in the month of November.

Maybe so. The only one that doesn't make sense is 10/12 Texas State at UL Lafayette (ESPNU), could have been App @ Idaho (travel cost problem maybe).EastHallApp wrote:Doubt it - more likely due to the fact that we just don't have many appealing games for TV this year.Saint3333 wrote:Pure speculation, but I wonder if our reluctance (really more so Miami's) to move the game to Friday night rubbed ESPN the wrong way and they only gave us one weekday TV game? I'm glad we do not have to play at Idaho on a short week. They will likely be be our best road opponent this season. That's on top of the 3,000 mile trip out to Moscow.Saint3333 wrote:Maybe so. Re: Schedule Release Tomorrow??
I agree with Saint 3333. This is the best possible schedule we could have asked for. If we beat Georgia, it could be a very special season! All of the strongest Sunbelt teams we have at home and the weakest Sunbelt teams we play on the road. The Wake Forest game will probably be a "pick" game and in all of the other 10 games we should be a double-digit favorite. Let's go get 'em!!

Sounds good, but I hate weekday games with a passion.Gonzo wrote:Because it will be featured on ESPN 1 the Uno instead of sharing 3:30 on a Saturday with most of the P5.NewApp wrote:How is a Thursday night being a featured game? Re: Schedule Release Tomorrow??
Only one or two P5 games, but probably also an NFL game that will draw nearly all the football viewing public for that night. We usually have only a couple hundred thousand viewers or so for Thursday games.hapapp wrote:I believe the game is on U. Nonetheless, its still means likely only one or two other games going on at the same time.Gonzo wrote:Because it will be featured on ESPN 1 the Uno instead of sharing 3:30 on a Saturday with most of the P5.NewApp wrote:How is a Thursday night being a featured game? (What could I expect though, she's a UNC Concord grad) Couldn't help it, I had to throw that one in there. So hopefully a game or three!!

Re: Schedule Release Tomorrow??
Thank you sir! I am not the best father but I will do whatever I can for my son. I have two older sons who I am extremely proud of in their own right but John is the world to me. Woe be to the one that does him wrong. Thank you again.NewApp wrote:You seem to be a dedicated father.
