Armanti has a great punt return.

Great 69 yard punt return by Armanti!! He will catch a hard time for letting the punter run him out of bounds though. The dang announcer got it wrong too. Somebody let that man know it is pronounced ap-uh-latch-uhn please.

I've never thought hes had the same top speed ever since he "mowed" over his foot. I think 07 AE runs that in for a TD. His stats this year earned him a shot somewhere.

Armanti should have knocked that punter's helmet off. That would shut some of them up, for a minute or two.

Yeah. The Huddle goes down for 20 minutes and there were people just waiting to post about AE getting stopped by the punter. Forget the 69 yard return and setting up the TD, they just have to post anything negative they can. I'll be VERY happy when he gets out of Carolina.

I grew up a Redskins fan but I've been an ardent Panthers fan since the franchise was awarded.

Even if AE had never played in Charlotte, those people on Carolina Huddle are about 90% buffoons.

That said, name 1 thing, just 1 thing that AE has done in 3 years that has had a negative consequence on a game. You can't. Every time he's been given a shot he's done what he's supposed to have done. You can make the argument that none of it has been spectacular, but I really believe he has proven that he can play in the NFL WR/Slot/KR/PR (in that order) - just needs someone to give him the reps.

He's made plays in two games this year which were difference makers - plays that helped us win. They might be enough for the Panthers to keep him around.

I love the Panthers and I LOVE Armanti but honestly, I hope not. He could flourish as a returner, slot receiver and wildcat QB. With an every down QB like Cam, there is no need for a wildcat package. I think he could be utilized more frequently elsewhere.

Color me selfish, but it is fun to still be watching AE play in person. With that said, I do wish the best for him and his career whatever that may be and where ever it might take him.

You know, any time that a punter / kicker makes a play like that, everyone is jumping all over the place about it. These people need to remember that the punters & kickers are professional athletes also...just like everyone else on the team. For some reason, people seem to think the only skill they have is contained in one leg. It's just not true. They are good athletes and they are generally not exhausted like some of the players on the field (remembering Corey Lynch getting run down by the kicker on the final play at Michigan).

Great play AE!

Exactly, plus the punter being the deepest player on the field has an angle on the returner which it is difficult for the runner to overcome with just speed. Punters very often make tackles on return men who are much faster than themselves.

Does anyone have a link to a highlight of it? I missed it yesterday, and haven't seen it.

Top speed was not always Armanti's primary forte even before his injury, rather it was his quickness on short to medium bursts.

Did the Panthers take advantage of Armanti's 69 yard return by scoring? If not the field postion AE gave them was not the issue..being run out of bounds or not.

On what yard line did his run place the Panters, It looked like he caught it on the 20 thus it would be around the 11. What impressed me was how little blocking he had.

You are correct, I've watched it again several times and there wasn't much blocking at all. It appears to me the Saints overran the coverage. If he had a few more players ahead of him....TD for sure. It was nice to see that run.....

It was good to see, and that's for posting the link. Looked like he may have been able to cut back against the punter, but I think he is so focused on not turning the ball over. It's amazing that he has set up two TD's that have ultimately produced 1/3 of the Panthers wins this season.

I hope that management comprehends that.

I have only missed a couple of Panther games in the last three years. I had high hopes for Armanti when he got drafted. I got excited this year when he started getting in on more plays. However, my excitement quickly faded. He does not seem to be able to seperate on his routes. He did have a good return yesterday, but the fact is he was caught by a punter. I think if everyone takes off their black and gold glasses, they will see that his time with the Panthers and probably in the NFL is over. I see him going to the CFL and being successful, but not in the NFL. I hope I am wrong, but I dont think I am.
