Re: Player Stabbed
Some crazy news stories coming out of Boone over the last week+...shooting, stabbing...hard to believe this has been Boone and not Fayetteville or Greenville.

I know. But I heard someone ask a similar question elsewhere so I just answered it.

They don't flunk you for missing exams because you're in the hospital, I can tell you that from firsthand experience. I was in the hospital during the exam period the spring semester of my sophomore year, four professors exempted me from the exam and the fifth had me take an exam over the summer but it was more a favor to me.

Arrest made. Looks like the person arrested lived at the complex. Wonder if fuller was in the group looking for trouble? It says it was a part of a larger fight. Hopefully no other players were involved and Satt uses this to preach staying away from dumb situations throughout the summer.
Hopefully fuller fully recovers.

Re: Player Stabbed
My roommate committed suicide just as the year was finishing up my freshman year, or that is when they found the body in the Duck Pond. I was offered a chance to postpone my exams. Some I had already completed and in the case of my Calc 1 exam I seemed to remember taking it to get it over with and not having to worry about it later. I am not sure whom I talked with at the time, but I remember having a phone call about this. I am thinking it was the Counseling side of Student Services. If someone remembers to look after me, and I was on campus and able to get around, then I am sure a football player on scholarship with lots of extra academic handlers that I did not have will be given an opportunity to deal with the exams in a timely and fair manner.asu24 wrote:So glad the kid is ok. This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Perhaps if he had been a Cook Out, he wouldn't have been stabbed.

What was trolling about 24's comment? It was a real possibility until another poster cleared it up./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:I think asu24 is trolling usfiremoose wrote:He won't flunk classes for missed exams. SO it is settled, Cookout can solve all these problems. Awesome.

Re: Player Stabbed
Do you guys have any idea how many fights happen inside and outside fast food restaurants? I can tell you from personal experience responding to them that there are quite a few.
Since one poster won't check or doesn't know how to check Google (youtube search Cookout fights) I'll link a couple that happened outside Cookouts. I will NOT embed them in the post as there is a lot of bad language and other things, as you can guess since it's a fight. One of them happened at UNCC. Being at a Cookout or any fast food place is not a guarantee that the same thing would not have happened. Sorry.

Re: Player Stabbed
Satt should probably just make sure all his players are in Bible study at 2:30 a.m. just to be safe. Maybe those who want to really cut loose can read to schoolchildren or help a little old lady across the street.

Re: Player Stabbed
Ok this is getting crazy. My point was only that unless he lived there " it looks like" he didn't need to be there. That does not imply that he was guilty of ANYTHING. It only means that sometimes you need to watch what position you put yourself in. I am on his side. My reference to a fast food joint was not to claim it as a safe zone.
