What's not prominent about NCSU? They kicked our azz in Raleigh the other year in football and stomped us

Couldn't tell it. I thought he was poking fun at their recent problems.

Good call on Puerto Rico, they just updated the website and placed our logo... I haven't seen an official release, but guess this means it's a go.

IF we can show some real improvement next year (I know...), I'd like a shot at South Carolina. Coming off a FF run but they'll be rebuilding.

Sun Belt schedule will be released Thursday. Men going back to Thur/Sat and I believe they'll all be doubleheaders with WBB.

Re: 17-18 Schedule
Have heard the same. Going back to doubleheaders. Conference wants us to start our games later in the evening. Should be interesting to see if an evening game is added in late February.T-Dog wrote:Sun Belt schedule will be released Thursday. You think that attendance is bad now, have the Men's game start at 8:30 or 9 pm and see how bad it gets.bigCasu wrote:Have heard the same. Going back to doubleheaders. Re: 17-18 Schedule
Such an absolute TERRIBLE schedule. Until this is fixed, there will be no growing of the fanbase. Basically just 2 "weekends" with conference home games where Students are in town.
I count a Thurs/Sat set-up as a weekend. So 4 home games. LR, stAte, Sbama and Troy with classes in session.
Spring semester doesn't start until Jan 16th. Also, the Coastal home game is the 1st weekend of Spring Break. Blasphemy!

Footballer's like to say that KBS looks like a high school with the track.T-Dog wrote:Sun Belt schedule will be released Thursday. Men going back to Thur/Sat and I believe they'll all be doubleheaders with WBB.
Does that mean that we are in a High School conference since we play all double headers in conference?

I think what it means is that they see a money issue. Looking into the future tv contracts are most probably going to be shrinking. We need to be looking revenue vs expenses very closely.

Pretty sure they all travel separate. So I don't really know if there is any cost savingsbcoach wrote:I think what it means is that they see a money issue. Looking into the future tv contracts are most probably going to be shrinking. We need to be looking revenue vs expenses very closely.

That's the thing, the women will take earlier trips and leave at times before half time of the men's games.3rd wrote:Pretty sure they all travel separate. I wonder if basketball season tickets will go back down to 2015-16 prices due to the arena not being used as many times? Probably not.

Re: 17-18 Schedule
My definition of evening was more like a 4/6:30 setup compared to 1/3:30appgrouch wrote:You think that attendance is bad now, have the Men's game start at 8:30 or 9 pm and see how bad it gets.bigCasu wrote:Have heard the same. Re: 17-18 Schedule
Well that is pretty silly then. Why you would do double headers and not take advantage of cost savings is beyond me. So I have no answer for why they have doubleheaders and I am going to fade into the woodwork.appgrouch wrote:That's the thing, the women will take earlier trips and leave at times before half time of the men's games.3rd wrote:Pretty sure they all travel separate. Re: 17-18 Schedule
I was thinking about the Thurs/Mon games more than the Sat games. It makes less of a difference with Sat games as long as most of the fans that come up could get home by 10pm as long we were done by 7-8pm. That is a bigger issue for us starting games at the times we do.bigCasu wrote:My definition of evening was more like a 4/6:30 setup compared to 1/3:30appgrouch wrote:You think that attendance is bad now, have the Men's game start at 8:30 or 9 pm and see how bad it gets.bigCasu wrote:Have heard the same. Now on a different note: Why are we doing VBall on Sundays at 12:30? I "get" playing on Sundays but why at 12:30? Even if we pushed back to 1pm, it would give the church crowd a change to get home and changed or get a bite to eat and get to the HCC.
