Re: Is Jalin Moore okay?
Hope Williams is okay, that was an odd looking/freaky injury. Then Harrison went down, so we had to go back to Upshaw. Great run by Upshaw on the TD.

Malik Williams is #14. I think Jalin's carries were limited because we worked on the down field passing game.

Re: Is Jalin Moore okay?
Obviously the team got tired of some guys on the board bitching about our lack of quality QB play so the game plan changed

A blowout win to a weak opponent. Why risk hurting your RB1 on a game like this.
That's what's going on there

Lamb only missed about three passes en route to 5 TD's in the first half. TD's are TD's. Who says they have to be long ones?

Why did we have to wait until we played a garbage FCS team to change the game plan?

That was a joke. Our 4th string QB could have lit them up./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2017 7:00 pmWhy did we have to wait until we played a garbage FCS team to change the game plan?

Maybe they knew it wouldn't work against Georgia when Lamb had 2 seconds in the pocket./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2017 7:00 pmWhy did we have to wait until we played a garbage FCS team to change the game plan?

Re: Is Jalin Moore okay?
This game is all the proof one needs that the lack of a passing game against P5 is not all on the QB. It is a team effort- line can't give him time, receivers can't get open and QB gets happy feet. We are not as good as most P5 teams. The UT game game shows that a good game plan and execution can keep us close but when the wheels come off as they did against UGA it usually gets ugly.

We were playing a perennial FCS basement dweller who's best known for being a punching bag for superior teams and collecting a paycheck to keep their program from going under. Why would you put one of your star player's health on the line against that if you don't have to? I'm sure you'll see more of him over the next few games which will actually matter.

Marcus Williams is the running back #26. Malik is the WR #14. It appeared that he went as a result of the previous play, perhaps a concussion.ComebackShack wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2017 6:12 pmOh! I was confused. Williams was listed as #14 I thought.

Re: Is Jalin Moore okay?
The second backup RB that went out due to an injury was De'Vonta Smith (#16). Williams looked good...got lots of yards after contact. Smith can fly but fumbled twice. Future looks bright!!! Upshaw is a beast!!! Jalin will get his opportunities starting next week vs Texas State!!!
Young TE Collin Reed played really well and we finally got to see J Virgil's speed!!! We have some talented young men!!!

That may be, but it didn't stop us from sending Lamb out there long after the game was already decided. Six carries seems low to me for your #1 back.hotrod2001 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2017 8:08 pmWe were playing a perennial FCS basement dweller who's best known for being a punching bag for superior teams and collecting a paycheck to keep their program from going under. I think the OCs wanted to see Lamb and our young receivers find their their rhythm. We know we can run the ball, but still had question marks with our passing game. This was a good opportunity to work some kinks out before Sun Belt games begin!!! Hope we see Meadors, Evans and Adams next week. Thought Williams/Virgil and Hennigan played well.

It was either hip or back. As soon as he went down, he was reaching back for that area. Post game said "lower body injury"hapapp wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2017 9:53 pmMarcus Williams is the running back #26. Malik is the WR #14.
