We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: The bank is partially closed off
Let's hope that's the case, because I'm going to need it for Wake.

Re: The bank is partially closed off
Was told it was because the bricks around the supports are not completely done. Will be open for the Wake game in two weeks.

I didn't sit on the hill, but the speaker volume on the walkway around the scoreboard was ear-splitting.

Re: The bank is partially closed off
The speakers were ridiculously loud today. Everyone needs to.voice their opinions to make sure it gets turned down a touch for Wake. No need to give people headaches from the sound system.

The top of the brickwork was covered with painted plywood, so I would say not finished. Video was great. sound was a bit loud at times.

I think the consensus was better not louder. I hope they didn't ruin the speakers today. It was loud. So loud there was feedback from the referee mic on the vid board end.

I'll second that. I never wanted louder. That was the one nice thing about GA, they had band and they had silence.

"Louder" is low hanging fruit for game day atmosphere. Most wanted "clearer" all these years.
How about getting appropriate volume, timing, amount, and content choice of this "wall of sound" down correctly. I think all of us realize this was a new deal yesterday and that the staff will get this dialed in better, of course. We are simply adding our advice/feed back to help with dialing it in correctly.
Bottom line to me was it was obnoxiously, overpoweringly loud.

Re: The bank is partially closed off
To be fair, I had no issues with the volume from my seats in 211. Just pointing out that it was really loud on the hill. It may just not be possible to have ideal volume simultaneously for people sitting right beside the board and people sitting 150 yards away.

Re: The bank is partially closed off
Will they, though? We've been complaining about the poor performance of the people running that aspect of the game day experience for years and it never seems to get better, yet evereyone seems optimistic that one day, they'll get it under control. Still WAY too much canned music, at one point the band struck up a piece and then got mowed over instantly by the speaker music. Love the new board and the sound system, but the overall production has problems.APPRIDE wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2017 8:36 am"Louder" is low hanging fruit for game day atmosphere. Re: The bank is partially closed off
Hypothetical question...
Say a couple years from now we get what we want, the track is removed, and that hill is brought inwards toward the field...would you rather: a) keep the grass hill or b) place bleachers/stadium seats there?
