D. Evans or S. Meadors?
Whats up with Darrynton Evans & Shaedon Meadors? Are they hurt? They haven't produced any stats yet this season.
Evans looked really good as a return man last year and I thought he could do good things for us in the slot, in jet sweeps and over the middle.
Meadors was a big target for Lamb last year. He made big catches against GSU (lol losing to New Hampshire) and ULL.
FYI I'll be at the game in San Marcos on Saturday. Let me know if you'll be there.

Both said to have hamstring injuries. Heard it was mentioned during this weeks game that they were dressed but didn't play. Not sure on that. Even if healthy they may not play until wake.

I was at the game. Neither one was dressed to play. Both stood or sat on a bleacher for most of the game.

I was there just never thought to look for them. Was just going by what espn3 announcers were saying.
Would hope if they are 100% they could at least get a little game time in against txst.

I spoke with them both post game. Both said they were getting better. Neither they nor Adams were in pads, just jerseys.

Adams might be a while, as will TJ Watkins.
Satt said on Monday that "one or two guys" might be back this week.

I don't believe either's injury is anywhere near that serious.
Remember we pulled Meadors' redshirt after he missed the first five games of his freshman season, if that gives you any indication.

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
We were in dire need of a capable receiver at that point in the season, but still a good point. I expect we'll need them later in the season depending on how healthy we are...EastHallApp wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 7:19 amJohnnyBurrito wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 4:54 amAfter how many games missed do you start considering a redshirt?

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
I'm not sure Meadors is a starter when he comes back, at most he'll likely split snaps 60/40 with Hennigan. He has great hands (probably some of the best ever at App), but these young guys have more speed.

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
I think we need both Meadors and Hennigan on the field. Meadors wasn't able to get away last year because he was our only deep threat. If they have to defend multiple threats, there will be open receivers. That's my thinking at least. So far, I'm very pleased with how these young guys have looked this year.

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
If either or both can't go for the Wake game might it be a prudent play to redshirt these guys simply based on the remaining games on the schedule?

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
Hamstring injuries suck because it takes so long to heal and it is so easy to re-injure them. I would anticipate most of these guys will be held out against TSU if possible. It would be great to be at full strength at WR from Wake Forrest and forward into the Belt schedule.

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
We're two games into this season and Meadors is still the only proven WR on the roster. Plus, why would anyone assume his preference would be to redshirt? He's a senior, maybe he wants to graduate. And maybe Evans doesn't want to sit on the bench all year.
We're several weeks away from this being a legit discussion IMO.

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
I still want to know what was going on that led to so many hamstring injuries. Talked to a trainer buddy of mine that has time working with pro athletes and he said its unusual to see so many of the same type of injuries in players in a short amount of time. Not sure if it was some new S&C exercise we were running or what. Interesting and hope its just an anomaly.

Also, nobody is assuming that would be his preference.

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
I know that both Meadors and Evans have hamstring. Are their others? I think Adams is a different injury. I'm no expert by hamstrings are usually injured in speed drills. I'm sure it could have happened in the weight room but usually it's from sprints. I'm sure there are others who could add more color to this.MtnMan09 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 10:35 amI still want to know what was going on that led to so many hamstring injuries.
