on a side note. Watkins played some last week. Not a superstar but has been solid in the minutes he did play.

I find it odd that they both have hamstring injuries, and Satterfield hasn’t even mentioned either in any media event that I know of? Your 2 most dynamic playmakers are out so far for 3 games, and it’s not even discussed? Something just doesn’t smell right😷😷
I find it interesting that it's the same injury to players that play the same position at the same time.

Hamstring injuries are awful, especially for players that depend on burst. They take forever to heal and always appear to be easily re-injured. Hopefully these guys fully recover if that's the case.

Minds racing so far and fact, Satt is putting fans in straight jackets this week.

Seriously. Virtually every skill position on offense is a question mark. We have the talent to succeed no matter the decision, but holy cow I can't even handle not knowing this much.

Hamstring injuries are one of the most common injuries for "speed" athletes. I wouldn't think that would be an uncommon one for WRs. Satterfield talked about them earlier in the season. There's just no reason to beat a dead horse. They will play when they are able. I hope to see them soon. Evans is listed on the depth chart this week as a returner.
He was listed there last week as well. Don't think it'll mean anything.

From what I heard (rumor) Meadors was close to returning, nothing on Evans.

Probably need Evans to be a RB again with Moore's injury as well as some of the other backups.

I don't know why some of you think it so strange that Satt does not provide much info on player injuries and status. Many coaches are now keeping that info close to the vest.

I agree. I don't find it strange at all. I know it's frustrating, but I think it's an excellent strategy.

Wondering if we hold on till after the wake game with these guys who are banged up. Fully loaded for our sunbelt run. I would love to beat Wake, but the belt is goal #1. Hate that we aren't healthier for this game.

I'm going to have to trust the coaches and assume that, when they believe these guys are healed, they will play. If they need more time, they'll sit. I don't think they've been held out as a strategy. No coach is going to leave weapons on the bench just to "trick" an upcoming opponent, especially when the week before turned into a dogfight.

Not surprising - if they aren't 100% then there is no way you play them with an open week next week and 7 SBC games ---

I would rather go 6-2 in the Belt and beat Wake than go 8-0 and get slaughtered tomorrow. I'm going to be pretty upset if Satterfield & co have already accepted a defeat for tomorrow.

You'll never see Scott throw in the towel in the manner you describe. Never!

And just as an "FYI," here's Scott's answer to the quasi-secrecy strategy concerning injured App skill-position players. "It's a gameday decision!" Read on...

I agree with your first statement - the 2nd is absolutely absurd !!!

Meadors RTed someone asking if he'd be able to play tomorrow.

If either or both can't go for the Wake game might it be a prudent play to redshirt these guys simply based on the remaining games on the schedule?

I brought this question up on another board whether there was internal talks going on of redshirting both guys since they had missed 4 games and their backups were playing so well

It makes sense for Meadors to the shirt on this year. I don't think that he played until his 5th or 6th game his Freshman year, so he has essentially missed a year.
