One thing to think about is, how does back to back road trips to the East affect NMSU?
I hope negatively. It's all part of game.

In watching the Arkansas game I was surprised how well they pass blocked, but couldn't run block for arguably a top three RB in the conference.

I'm surprised that Lamb has not thrown an INT since Troy last year which equates to almost 160 attempts. 444 is the record, so he's going to need to throw it 50 times per game the rests of the season.

who holds the record? - 444 is really hard to believe not that it isn't true, just so much can happen that isn't the QB's fault - a WR lets the ball bounce off of him and a DB intercepts, etc. ---

What I noticed about NMSU QB is he has a quick release and throws an accurate rope type pass.

On the other hand, I think our Defense has progressed a lot in regards to defending the hurry up offense. Wake is very good at it and in general we did well. The key always is get them off the field (meaning when you stop them don't give them free 1st downs via penalty).

This may be another tough close game. Hopefully, our Offense can put up lots of points.

If we put up lots of points I don't see it being close.

It would seem that their O-line is just good enough at pass coverage to allow their play stretching QB to get the ball downfield once the traditional pocket collapses. I don't know how much of a dual threat this QB is, but he can stretch a play out and find an open receiver while scrambling which is very difficult to defend. That would explain his impressive passing numbers and the relatively weak running numbers from one of the league's best backs. The NMSU O-line aint great, and App's defensive front should get push, but the NMSU QB is going to make plays downfield, the App secondary is going to have to step up and limit that with good coverage.

Lamb is also three touchdowns away (71) from tying AE's touchdown passes record of 74.

And only 10 from breaking the career Sun Belt record of 81

I predict multiple INT's for our DB's this game.

Sounds like they are coming here with a bit of a chip on their shoulders. Same old complaints about travel time and we are too far from the airport and where they have to stay. Interesting that they have 4 straight away games and they are homecoming for every one of them. I think this guy is a pretty good coach. If he stays long enough at NMSU, they will turn the corner, if not already.

Most teams that play at UGA don't stay in Athens. Therefore, it would put you about one hour away from campus. I have seen many other situations where the visiting teams do not even like to stay too close to the campus. That is not so unusual.
