Curious as to the driving factors to transfer. Doesn't get enough targets in the offense. Wants to boost his stock for the next leverl. It will be interesting if we ever know the truth. Either way, I will never condemn someone for seeking educational opportunities. I wish him well,

Sounds like Sutton is practicing like a man on a mission. Motivation and something to prove plus the fact that we have him more than one year. We'll be fine at the X.

Maybe just parental disappointment, but I definitely highlited "it's on him" (paraphrased perhaps) when I read it.

\Could it be that we don't have the graduate field of study he wants?

Well for him to be allowed to transfer, then yes, it would have to be. The article says that he is exploring his options. I think that it is a good thing when people take their time and explore their options.

I think everyone would be more positive with this move if he were visibly behind this years team on the sidelines.

He would absolutely help us but I am pretty sure we will be fine either way. He’s a young man who needs to make life decisions that he deems best for himself. It’s just football. App football will be ok

Re: Meadors Visits Illini
Best of luck, he was a great addition to the team and was fun to watch. Now he has earned a degree from App and is exploring options for his future education, career and life. Football and otherwise.
I don't know any details about how the team feels but hope he does exactly what he wants to do. Would be nice to have him in the WR room next season, that is already a pretty formidable group, but I'm excited about watching the Freshman progress and seeing what newcomers we have in the wings.

I think that Meadors has value at the next level and he sees the depth we have and one more year at the Rock and App might not be at the level of playing time he wants. I am not sure that going to the doormat of the Big 10 is the route to take..... but who am I or others to guess? Overall he has meant something to the program and App Nation. I am confident that he will succeed. He gave his all while he was here.

I hope he stays but if not, thanks for many contributions. Glad to see that he received his degree which will likely be more important than this decision in the long run.

Virgil is quicker and seems a bit bigger. Between the combination of Virgil, Sutton, and Hennigan, I'm not so sure that you will notice Meadors missing....I certainly haven't.

Re: Meadors Visits Illini
While Illinois is a doormat of the Big10, their coaching staff is made up of NFL coaches with connections. So everyday in practice is a combine workout. If he can play at the next level, Lovie Smith can make a call and his opinion will have weight.WVAppsfan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 7:38 amI think that Meadors has value at the next level and he sees the depth we have and one more year at the Rock and App might not be at the level of playing time he wants.
