Re: Meadors Visits Illini
Something smells about this whole situation. Last summer he’s fine, touted as a deep threat heading into the season. He and Evans were supposed to lead the offense and be the weapons Lamb would target, etc. All of a sudden they both suffer non-contact injuries and neither has worn a uniform all season. Seems awfully peculiar?

Evans was very vocal on the sidelines this past game. Not is pads, but certainly involved with the team.

If you are not positive this is where you want to be it is probably time to leave. Nothing against Meadors but there are a bunch of guys who really want to be here so move over and make room.

I wish Shae all the best, but if he goes to Illinois then I'm afraid that "the best" will be one losing season at an awful P5. If he thinks thats a better place to be, then more power to him.

Doubtful. His agent inexplicably was able to include a 16 million dollar buyout in his contract. Not sure the Illini can fork over that much to get rid of him. Why they agreed to that when no NFL teams were actively going after him is beyond me.

If he plays in the NFL I hope he does the Russel Wilson-style lineup announcement. "A whole PACK of BADGERS" pays homage to both schools.
If he says "Shaedon Meadors: Illinois" I'll be pissed.

Maybe the Illinois administration will pull the trigger now that Tyson Summers is available.

Posted a mere one day before they released the formerly top-secret JFK files? I am surprised you had time to share your thoughts on this one.86App wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 11:24 amSomething smells about this whole situation. I don't begrudge any kid leaving if he's not happy. You guys remember the angst when our QB followed Sparky Woods to USC? Now that was a pisser!

I damn well do remember. That would be one Bobby Fuller. However, most of App Nation was more pissed because Sparky took about 20 others with him as well and gutted the team.

Hmm. I thought I was the only App who harbored ill will toward Sparky for doing what you mentioned. OTOH, I'm grateful for the short period of time we had Sparky. We wouldn't have had nearly as strong a defense as we had those years without him, nor had John Settle.MDaniels84 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 9:28 amI damn well do remember. Sparky sure did get a lot of defenders of Sparky's exit and followers on here through the years.
