We are sitting as a 14.5 point favorite for the moment.

A bit high in my opinion. LaLa is playing for bowl eligibility and 14.5 crosses a bunch of numbers for our erratic offense.

I think this is going to be an interesting game. If you look at common opponents, we are 4-1 and they are 3-2 with the head scratching loss to Georgia Southern. Both of us lost to ULM in high scoring close, games. Apparently they have an offense that can score points, but defensively we are trending better at this point. They need a win to become bowl eligible. May be a shootout....

I truly believe that the outcome at ULM is different had Stringer played.

I don't think it will be that high scoring on their part. Our defense is playing outstanding...the only real problem was against ULM defensively...otherwise they have been solid to excellent all year...and now with Stringer back and healthy...we will play well.

I feel really good about this game for four reasons...
1. as mentioned before our D is looking great
2. Our offense came to play against Georgia St
3. We tend to show up in general for BIG games
4. IT will be my first game this season I've been able to attend...so that means we win

14.5 appears to be a little high but App finally has played more consistently over 4 quarters the last two games. I do worry about our constantly injured RB's as a healthy Moore and Williams are key to running the ball and controlling tempo. Losing Sims doesn't help either but we showed excellent depth on the DL against GSU on Saturday.

Maybe 14.5 is high, but I kind of think that UL is a little "broken" right now. I'm not sure if Hudspeth has lost the team or what is going on. Everyone is talking about how they will be fighting for bowl eligibility but that has been on the line for the past two weeks and they've dropped two ugly games in a row. If we look at season stats, it looks like a shoot out, but if we look at the trend, App is trending strong and UL appears to be folding. You never know and I hope the Apps show up and execute like we are assuming they are 100%. Let's just put this one away and get ready for whatever bowl game we get.

I would agree with you. But they can score points and 14.5 is a large number to cover against a team that can put points on the board.

If it opened at 13.5, it would have moved up quickly.
