NMSU stayed in Hickory because their original flight was to have come into Hickory.

If Hudspeth's bus driver takes an hour to get from Banner Elk to KBS, that may explain some of the problem. I'm a speed limit driver, and it takes me less than 30 minutes.

Everyone except for NMSU stayed in Banner Elk. NMSU stayed in Hickory.

Is money the reason they wouldn't consider somewhere like Chetola, or maybe even Essceola? I know we've got bigger wants/needs as a program, but it would be cool for Boone to get a full service hotel... not solely for visiting athletic programs, obviously. I think the area needs one in general.

In no way is $$$$ an issue with LaLa. Hudspeth is simply a spoiled and
arrogant cry-baby.

Beyond Hudspect's personal issues , the need for Boone to have a four-star, full-service hotel is widely known and under discussion within a cadry of industry reps, university, town, county and Chamber officials who can make it happen in due time. Patience.

Eh, Hud's just used to having to travel along interstates which see nothing but flat, sparse wetlands (with the occasional refinery with their billowing smokestacks blocking out the Louisiana sky) as far as the eye can see.

Going to Boone adds some character all these flatlander teams miss out at all of their other away games.
