Signing Day
Seems strange while many of our conference brothers are following signing day we almost forgot such was happening. We may be the only school in the country got our work done in December. Credit to our staff for pulling that off.
For those that pay attention to such, it looks like Ga Southern will finish atop the 247 rankings for the Belt. Looks like we will finish fifth. That's pretty good for the Eagles considering the coaching change.
Not too concerned by our ranking when you consider that's where we have generally finished. And in spite of that we have two titles and a runner up finish. It's what you do with what you've got that matters and our staff has proved to be great in that regard.

Re: Signing Day
Hopefully, they will stop sucking so bad so it will beef up our strength of schedule when we beat them.

Recruit rankings mean very little,we've sent walk-ons to the NFL. They get their glory now, we get ours in the fall.

GaSo and Arky take non-Qs. They should have better ranked recruits every year, but they don’t.

Re: Signing Day
Spring games are a wasted day in my opinion. You only have so many days for spring practice and those games for the fans are a bit more relaxed and don’t provide an opportunity for teaching. Besides, the weather in early March would only bring out the die hards.

Re: Signing Day
All we really care about is winning the Fall games! I’d much rather be at a Boone championship game this December than a Spring game in March. Go Apps! Stick to the process and grind for another Sunbelt Conference Championship.

Re: Signing Day
While the current formula works great, and I hate to criticize, I do think we are missing out on an opportunity in the spring to have an abbreviated gameday. A late spring game could be coordinated with a baseball game, or an all out campus event. It could be sold as a "thaw out" weekend. Football, baseball, bands, etc. Get on this people of Boone!

Re: Signing Day
I would think that these family friendly occasions (if the decision were made to open a practice) would be a missed opportunity if limited to the existing Yosef Club. They should be leveraged to bring new members in, and set the table for season ticket sales.
I'm just not sure it is something that would appeal to a broad enough base. FanFest is a bigger opportunity that it seems we've let slip away in recent years. I understand the risk of a scrimmage (too many unnecessary injuries) and lost productive practice time. It just seems we could be doing more to fire up the fans prior to kick-off. I think we're officially off topic though.

Yes pretty Impressive to say the least ..considering the turmoil and shape of the Georgia southern. I think it’s a legitimate question to ask on how they accomplish leading the sunbelt in recruiting?hapapp wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2018 1:29 pmSeems strange while many of our conference brothers are following signing day we almost forgot such was happening.
