Troy at Home
Today, once again another opportunity for the Apps to spark interest and gain momentum heading into tournament time arises. Once again, the Apps meet an opponent at home which (on paper) they should defeat. How will it end? Will the Apps rise to the occasion or once again fall flat on their faces? Here's hoping for the best, Go Apps beat Troy!

Re: Troy at Home
I guess my question is somewhat debatable. That is, some may say that whenever an opportunity arises, at home, against a lesser opponent, on a Saturday, we always fold. Nevertheless, here's wishing your prognosis is correct and we do in fact win today.

Re: Troy at Home
Are we running a campaign to give things away again or a big push for attendance again (like Thursday) because if so I’ll change my response.
Inconsistency is the only constant this year, I’m sticking with a W. Troy favored by one, get rich.

It’s become very fun to follow App basketball on the board here. Every game day is guaranteed to produce a positive result. Either App wins the game, or they lose and you get to watch the meltdown that’s guaranteed to follow. It’s win-win.

In other words, bring out the popcorn/beer/soda/whatever, sit back and enjoy. It is what it is, might as well find some type of entertainment and make the best out of the situation. LOL

Re: Troy at Home
FTR, Troy is above us in the standings and is actually the slight favorite. Not sure I would call them a lesser opponent.

It's hard to argue with that, I guess. Unfortunately, when it comes to App Basketball lesser opponents are few and far between. Once again, it is what it is.

Re: Troy at Home
The good news is that App holds a 6-3 advantage in the "all-time" series. The bad news is that Troy has won the last three meetings. They've owned us for the last two seasons. They'll win again today if Shabazz, Forrest and Williams have another <30 percent shooting afternoon.

24-12 halfway through the first. We look fantastic. Good energy and solid rebounding. Hope we can keep it up.

Hope we can keep working it inside with Kinney. Person is 1/5, I’d expect that to tick back up by game end.

Our three guards were having a good afternoon and our bigs were controlling the boards. Lookin' good turns sloppy! Lead down to 13. Apps on a 5:30 FG drought.

Up by 10 with 2:35 left and possession. Really sloppy last ten minutes but hopefully we can close this out.

Re: Troy at Home
Glad we won and a great 3/4 of a game. I imagine the shots will start falling for Forrest soon.
ULM beat Texas St today which helps. We’re still very much alive for a #3 seed but will need to close out the season with three wins straight.
