I know I came by and talked a little smack before the game, but your team gave a very gutsy effort and certainly had me worried well into the second half. Jackson is a really good QB, and overall the rest of your team greatly impressed me as well. I know most of you expected to win the game, and won't take any solace in any kind of moral victory, but that was certainly not an effort any fan should be ashamed of. Good luck the rest of the season and hopefully you can bring another championship to Boone.

I hate the score made the game look like a blowout to someone who just glances at the box. It was 14-13 late in the 3rd. You guys killed us with your 3 big returns.

Thanks for the kind wishes. I'm a little frustrated just because I think it was a very winnable game for us. Just had some bad breaks at bad times (and frankly a couple of questionable calls). Just bugs me not because we lost, but because people will only look at the final and assume it was a blowout and that we put up a few at the end once East had the 3rd string in.

Appreciate the kind words, but definitely not taking any solace in moral victories. I feel like this was one we let get away with sloppy play. I think I am more upset than if you guys had just blown us out.

Anyone can come onto a board and talk smack. A little smack talk is fun as long as it doesn't get out of hand. Having just found this board and joining just before the game this Saturday, I did not see your earlier posts; however, I do appreciate the fact that it takes character and class for someone to return and say that they respect their opponents and wish them well for the remainder of the season. Simply said, that is sportsmanship. Best wishes to you and your team as well.
