Gerdy would have his back to the basket, top of the key and put up some kind of twisting , off balance fade away. Net. His last game in Varsity as I remember was against Fitch, Payton and company. Oh yeah , we won. It's what we did back in those days.

That's a fact and here are the guys that did it...Bobby C's '78-79 SoCon Tourney Champs and App's first NCAA Tourney Team. The roster is still like the Who's Who of App Basketball! Darryl, Boo, Mel, Payton and Fitch!

Good man. I've kept up with Charles Payton , off and on ,over the years , others from a distance. I hate to bring this up but Renaldos rotation on his shot was southeast to northwest. I remember thinking " how is that going in " , but it did. Don't forget Paul Keller and Herb Jones. Neat guys. Good memories.
