Example of how bad the UNC Board of Governors is

Quality candidates for chancellor of UNC schools are going to think twice. The board throws their had picked system President under the bus and leaves WCU Board of Trustees and faculty dumbfounded.
The UNC System BOG is a giant train wreck.

'Their broader issues with what happened in private are how chancellors, and other leadership positions within the UNC system, will be selected in the future.
In order to make any chancellor candidate successful, we have to make sure the process is inclusive and clean," Green said.'
Clean? Did a UNC-BOG officer really imply that he's going to implement a clean selection and hiring process? Sure, sure he is.

If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Take it up with the original poster. I was just replying to something that is by its very nature at some level political and can not be anything but. Not that what I was saying was anymore political than the original post.NewApp wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 2:36 pmMcLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 10:56 amI wonder how far away from this the Koch brothers are from this and others in that vein?

And, quite frankly, you should be the last one to call someone out on this. You often post something just to get folks riled up and the post has a very overt political tone.
Here is something you started less than a week ago. No one took your bait to reply.

In any event , there is the potential to open up what has been a very restrictive process to a much broader pool of qualified candidates.

Re: Example of how bad the UNC Board of Governors is
Almost every aspect of state government is being dictated by two legislators who control and write almost every bill presented to the floor. They hand picked their UNC Board of Governor's who fired a extermely well respected University President only to hand pick their own person with very little input from each of the 17 school's Chancellors or BOT. They then allowed their hand picked System President to make a selection and flat out pulled the rug out from under her feet. These two legislators refuse to even let the people that THEY hired do their jobs without interference.
