Hope I'm wrong but we only scored 10 on Georgia last year and 19 against Wake. On the road with a new starting QB, don't feel good about this match up

App runs away with this one, but Penn State scores a couple late to make it look closer than it was...

App wins a close one,

Then, both teams go undefeated the rest of the way and win their conference title games. Herbstreit's head explodes trying to justify taking 12-1 Penn State over 13-0 App State for the last CFP spot.

We could beat Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Clemson in the same year and Herb would discredit it and keep us out - We are small ball

As much as I love Appalachian State University, a 12-1 Penn State team that would have to beat Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, and then likely Wisconsin again would be a no brainier over a 13-0 App State team for the playoffs.

The national discussion that that scenario would generate would be awesome though...
