She appears to be slowing down and headed more north than yesterday.

Getting really bad in Fayetteville as well. BJ’s several cars deep at the pumps with employees directing cars.Boone Goon wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 10:06 amI'm not worried about getting to Boone...I'm worried about there being gas to fill the car up for the drive. Stations in Raleigh are already out of gas...hopefully there aren't as many panicked yankees in the Triad as there are here.
Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM
Are we thinking the decision will not be made until Friday if the game is cancelled? Shouldn't they decide before Friday so that So Miss doesn't travel. We had a condo for Saturday night in Boone that we had to give up because the owners from Raleigh are evacuating to Boone! And the discussion about gas in central and eastern NC may be a real issue. My daughter sat for 30 minutes at Costco in W-S this morning waiting for gas.

I would concur with Rek. Would not be surprised to see kickoff moved up to avoid weather issues and get Southern Miss out of the area Saturday night.

I live 80 miles inland. I am as worried about coming back home from Boone as I am getting to Boone. Unfortunately as much as I hate it I'm thinking I may have to pass on this one game if it is indeed played.

After looking at more reports today including Rays and a few other local places; I don't think they're going to cancel. Unless it drastically changes, we'll just have to wait until/where it makes landfall.

From the main website
All classes and academic obligations are canceled from 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, to allow students who live in areas likely to be severely impacted by Hurricane Florence to prepare accordingly. The hurricane forecast for the Boone area is still uncertain.
For AppalCART schedules visit www.appalcart.com or the NextBus app. Please use caution during inclement weather, and monitor http://appstatealert.com and university email for any updates. Additional schedule changes could be made over the weekend as the storm progresses.

Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM
Just passing thru.
We were very unofficially told moving the game here was not on the table as of yesterday.
Who knows what your gonna get as far as weather.
Katrina and Camille were both still cat 1's as far north as Jackson Ms which is 150 inland from where they both hit. But then again we are flat as a pancake down here.
Our thinking is your support personnel will be needed in other areas and could cause the button to be pushed.

That's big. Still leaves room for the game to be played.GregPercussion wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 12:51 pmFrom the main website

Godspeed!BTK2000 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 9:45 amScary part is I might have to head to Wilmington tonight. I’m from there and my parents still live there. My dad works for the hospital and we are unsure if they are going to recall all of the clinical staff during the storm. I don’t want to leave my mom and grandmother at the house by themselves. We are in the middle of town at 40+ feet of elevation and flooding isn’t an issue there but it’s gonna be a hell of a storm on the beaches and along the river. With a potentially 15ft storm surge the houses on the beach will be taking direct impacts from waves and the river is gonna overflow

Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM
App posted that on Facebook as well. Some guy in the comments is saying his friend who is a season ticket holder got a call this morning saying the game was cancelled. Not sure if that's BS or not. Any other season ticket holder receive a call? I haven't seen anything to confirm it so he could just be full of it.NO.2 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 1:17 pmThat's big. A few friends and I have been texting back and forth about this all day and they haven't gotten that call either.
I'm sure Adub will have some sort of statement at Mountaineer Talk tonight.

Good thing Hudspeth doesn't coach for Southern Miss, this would not sit well with him.

Things seem to be crazy around Winston, water selling out, lines for gas, crazy drivers, etc.
Don't think this will be anything like Hugo or anything, doesn't seem like all this craziness is needed currently.

I'm a long time season ticket holder and I've had no such call. Nothing on appstatesports.com!
