Satterfield
2 days straight of talk around Satterfield being an option for Tarheels on WFNZ in Charlotte. The thought of it is honestly making me nauseous. Although it was funny when Frank Garcia said it would be a “step down” for Satt to go to Chapel Hill....

Re: Satterfield
If they can Fedora, they will make Satt one of their top options. He grew up minutes down the road.

If it happens, I don't think it'll be next year, I think both will go into 2019, unless any other big shakeups happen.

Now more than ever we need to get people into the Yosef Club! If you're not a member, EVERY level helps. Even a $25 donation to the YC makes a difference. If you can't make a donation...bring an extra friend to the next game. We have to expand our base.

Re: Satterfield
Baby Kiffin is a higher profile resume, who has had short stints at big name schools. Satterfield gets a lot out of his talent and runs a clean program to our knowledge, whereas Kiff hasn't. UNC would be a step down currently in the directions of each program, but about $1-1.5 million pay raise. How many on here would turn that down. if you say yes, you probably aren't telling the truth. If UNC is smart they will at least talk to him, but they are probably too arrogant to reach so low.

Re: Satterfield
Fedora got a contract extension last year until 2022. It will cost UNC a lot of money to buy out Fedora right now.

Yep, $14 million...for this year, drops to only $10 million next year. He must have had one helluva agent.sixtoes9134 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 2:59 pmFedora got a contract extension last year until 2022. It will cost UNC a lot of money to buy out Fedora right now.

Re: Satterfield
Kiffin is the not so secret future head coach at LSU. If Chapel Hill parts ways with Fedora, they will certainly reach out to Kiffin, and then be offended when he chooses Baton Rouge.

Re: Satterfield
Can the UNC program stand to be driven into the ground for several years. UNC has the money to make him go away, and get on the right track. They once were competitive and could/should land most any recruit they want in NC.

If this season heads down the drain, probably so. But surprisingly they thumped Miami delaying that.

Hopefully standards and integrity mean something to Satterfield. That program at the moment has neither, yet the NCAA just wags a finger.

Re: Satterfield
Not sure they go the G5 route again. P5 coordinators seem to be the way to go lately. Not to say they won't court Satt but I'm not sure he would be choice #1. Of course, they have taken an App coach before.

Re: Satterfield
Totally agree. Take another one of Saban's prodigies or something similar would be the smartest move.
Re: Satterfield
Coach Fedora is not the problem at unc. Them fellers have to go to class now and they dont like it one little bit. No sir! Its not what they r gittin paid for.
They wont improve until they get recruits who understand that classes and homework r required.
I hope Coach S. understands that. Nothing will improve for 3 years at least. He should stay at app.

Please, let's not give the NCAA credit they don't deserve. I have seen no wagging to be honest.hotrod2001 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 3:18 pmHopefully standards and integrity mean something to Satterfield. That program at the moment has neither, yet the NCAA just wags a finger.
