Re: Wow
Zac was not giving enough credit to that secondary. SA had some athletic boys on the back end and that play over the middle was not there all night. Zac simply tried to force the ball in there instead of leading his receiver and let them go get it. I'm sure it will be lesson learned and he won't make that mistake again....appstate77 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 30, 2018 12:16 pmOn the postgame radio show, Sims said Zac reverted to being Bamm Bamm and Ponce would pull him back. No worries.

Coach Moore and Margaret are often in those 111 seats. Perhaps he remembers hearing the noise and support from "The 111" back in the day.1ASU78 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 11:18 pmSo I'm sitting there and look up and see coach Moore. So I speak to him a couple of minutes. He goes down the row with Margret to find their seats. 10/15 minutes later they come back as they are in the wrong section, the correct seat holders show up. We're in 112 east side. Their seats were in 111. So as he walks by he said "well they ran me off...... again"anyone who heard him and got the joke had a big laugh as he did. He spoke to anyone and everyone who would take the time to say hello. So 1 why was coach sitting on east side and 2 would you say "uh hay coach you're in my seat"

When we went up 42-7, he turned around and said, "Where's my car?"

He did force throws and but for a penalty would have been 3. All three receivers were covered. He suffered from target fixation. Run your progression. He will see this film today.appstatealum wrote: ↑Sun Sep 30, 2018 10:19 pmZac was not giving enough credit to that secondary. My question is: Why doesn’t he have 2 free seats in the Club Section?App74 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 4:56 amCoach Moore and Margaret are often in those 111 seats. Re: Wow
Question on the Int that was called back for roughing. Did anyone see the hit and did it have an affect on the throw? I was watching the receivers and the ball seemed to be under thrown.Rekdiver wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 6:21 amHe did force throws and but for a penalty would have been 3. Re: Wow
Why should he get free seats? We need the revenue. Also, he is retired and on a fixed income so he probably can’t afford Club Level seats. Re: Wow
I felt like he did not step into it like he should have. It was not an errant throw, but he rushed it knowing the pressure was coming and did not "drive" the ball in there like he normally would with a proper progression.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 7:47 amQuestion on the Int that was called back for roughing. Re: Wow
Thanks. That make sense. It was a tight window anyway and I wonder if he was just trying to sail it out of bounds and didn’t get enough on it.appstatealum wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 10:42 amI felt like he did not step into it like he should have. Re: Wow
He probably threw them on purpose because of the beat down he was inflicting on them and felt bad. He’s no Cobra Kai. When Sat commanded to sweep the leg, he took the high road. I think he should be commended for his sportsmanship.

Re: Wow
I am really starting to see some potentially large separation between App/Troy and the rest of the league. Obviously we could have a letdown. Happens to lots of teams in other conferences but overall we are moving ahead of the pack. Downside of the Sunbelt is that the difference in the top teams and the bottom is huge.

Unbelievable...he also says "Appy State," which I detest. He does speak very highly of our team but the "Appy State" thing...well I consider that disrespect territory. I'm not liking this guy...glad we pounded his team.

Re: Wow
Like what I've seen from the team.
Offense, we have too many weapons to double even just one guy. I don't think anyone keeps us under 30 all season. They just press the pedal to the metal, not really much need for any cute trick plays.
On defense, we do have the bend, not break mentality and make teams play perfect for long stretches. However, I've noticed when we get a 3 TD lead, that is when they pin their ears back and really get after it. It's an amazing killer instinct. They appear to not care as much about the big play at that point and just try to annihilate the opposition. That's the point where I really start enjoying the game.
Special teams, we've scored 4 times this year in 3 games, however, preventing points with a FG block is just as good as a score, in my opinion. Also blocked punts and big returns that lead to easy scores. You could argue that special teams is responsible for or contributed to 45 points this season...maybe more, but that's what I came up with.

Re: Wow
Great points. I’ve gotten a sense that we have so many guys getting significant playing time that our depth is at a place it’s never been before. We have different players each week who seem to make big plays. Special teams used to scare me to death. Now we never miss extra points, put nearly every kickoff in the end zone, come after and block kicks and we are threats to house most every kickoff or punt return. How any opponent can watch film and game plan for this team is beyond me.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 9:42 amLike what I've seen from the team.

Like you said how can you double anyone on offense? I think we will continue to have someone wide open on nearly every play, even if it’s a tight end.
