North End zone project
Ok, in summation. I read lots of articles, discussion. So, the track remains thru 2019 season. Will everything be done prior to the 2020 season? NEZ project. Is there another project going on too?

Re: North End zone project
My understanding is as follows...
The NEZ project begins with the razing of Owens FH immediately after the last game of this season. That could carry over into January with weather and the holidays. Tons and tons of debris will have to be hauled away. Construction is to begin in "early '19" as soon as the architectural & engineering phase is complete. Supposed to be turnkey in '20.
Construction of the parking deck is already in progress.
Construction of the P3 dorms is to begin in spring 19.
Renovation of Sanford is set to begin in July '19.
Work on the Old Watauga/105 project will begin after the architectural/engineering phase is complete.
At some point, work on all of the projects will overlap. It should all be completed in under six years from today.

In wouldn’t mind seeing those end zone bar “seats” Ark State had under our new club seats.

Love seeing the track gone, but yeah, that’s a lot of green grass between the hill and the field.

Re: North End zone project
The hill needs to be regraded. It’s going to take a lot of dirt.
I spoke to Doug Gillen at a fundraiser in Charlotte this off season and asked about the possibility of moving the new scoreboard closer to the field once this other stuff was in place and he basically indicated there was a 0% chance of that happening.

Re: North End zone project
How about moving the hill in and tier it for level seating. Maybe some Adirondack chairs.

Re: North End zone project
Here’s my idea...ie we fill in the hill we can pick up both terraced seating( Bring your lawn chair) AND have enough flat space up top for bathrooms concessions a beergarten and a cabin for a real Yosef!!!!!

Yes bill needs a regrade. No chance they move the scoreboard due to how much it took to black through the rock to get the pillars in.

Did DG indicate that the hill would in fact be regraded? I been hoping to hear his opinion on that for a while...Gonzo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 13, 2018 6:11 amThe hill needs to be regraded. It’s going to take a lot of dirt.

Re: North End zone project
The hill will not be regarded until all these other projects are funded and another indoor football facility is built. The team uses the space behind the south field goal post for practices. That’s valuable real estate right now. Right now regarding the hill is a “gee that’d be nice” because of the team’s need for flat, physical space AND the other more pressing projects going on right now. I think one day there will definitely be a full 100 yard indoor facility and a regraded hill. I’d say within 10 years but that’s a guess and nothing official is being done about it to my knowledge.

Re: North End zone project
According to the link posted above, "the design phase of the end zone project is complete...", so does this mean the renderings are the final version of what it's going to look like?
It says it will add 1000 more premium seats....does anyone know how many premium seats we currently have?
