Re: North End zone project
I think a 3rd deck on the east side between the lights would be a cool look and could add a few thousand seats - you’d see it from anywhere in town

Re: North End zone project
We have 24,500 seats. We averaged 25,787 fans during six games in Boone last year. We need the north end zone project for the football and training facilities and for all the fans on the waiting list for luxury seats.

Re: North End zone project
I think that 24,500 figure included the temporary end zone seats. My understanding is we currently have apprx 22k seat now that the temporaries are gone.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 3:11 pmWe have 24,500 seats. If this is the case, we avg 3k over our seating cap. Some think this does not justify more seats, some do. The north end zones main purpose of to address club demand. Rightfully so. But I think we are missing an opportunity to add around 1k of new permanent seats as well. Why not address this too while we are moving dirt and cutting checks?

I’m probably the only person in the entire App nation that feels this way... but... every time we “turn dirt” in the name of expansion, we are in danger of destroying the “natural beauty” of attending games at KBS.

Re: North End zone project
Probably an unpopular opinion but I wish we could bowl in the hill with permanent seats. People are sitting there already it’d be nice to have actual seats. Unfortunately I feel like the new video board placement probably doesn’t help that case.

Re: North End zone project
I understand you point if your def of "turn dirt" is removing grassy green areas or flora, but... A lot of dirt is gonna get turned when Owens FH comes down. It's a relic/eyesore and it needs to come down. It's a confab of three separate buildings--one of which dates back to 1960. There's not enough $$$$$$ in Watauga to re-purpose Owens, bring it up to current commercial bldg codes and make it actually meet our needs and make it blend into the NEZ. It's gotta go.

Re: North End zone project
I agree this would be unpopular and should not be done. Miller Hill should remain Miller Hill.

With all due respect to Mr. Miller....hills feel small time. Tracks are small time. One of those is being addressed soon.

Re: North End zone project
There's a long waiting list for premium seating and once people are given the opportunity to see the view from the NEZ the demand will grow. Even though they're going to be EZ seats, they will be high enough to get a t-r-e-m-e-n-d--o--u-s view of the entire field and both benches. Premium seats = a much needed additional revenue stream for the always stretched-to-the-limit athletic budget.

Re: North End zone project
I stated it before and I will again. I’d like to see something like what stAte has in their end zone below the club seats.

I never said stadiums with hills are small time. I said hills are small time. Focus on the words you read not the ones you don't.SayYesToTheRock wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 6:14 pmSomebody had better tell Clemson that their stadium is small time.
Clemson's hill is 20 yds wide and is absolutely packed with ravenous students. Ours is where small children go to slide.

By looking at those renders, I'm assuming they're not going to be expanding seating inward anytime soon.

I actually think Clemson’s hill is lame.... the little pebble they rub is definitely overhyped. I tell my Clemson buddy to come check out a real rock up at KBS.SayYesToTheRock wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 6:14 pmSomebody had better tell Clemson that their stadium is small time.
