Re: 2:30 game time
We have switched to 2:30 for late season games in renisicent years. We've lost an hour of sunlight and with it comes cooler weather. It does allow folks descending the mountain to leave before it is pitch black.

Re: 2:30 game time
DG made the right decision. First three games @ 3:30 pm, second three games @ 2:30 pm.

Re: 2:30 game time
This is another reason I love our seats in The 111 on the "STATE" side. We keep the sunshine (if applicable) longer during the cold games late in the season. The obvious tradeoff is that we cook longer in the heat during the earlier games.
We need to be loud & rowdy Saturday and don't leave at half time.
Beat Georgia State!!

Re: 2:30 game time
I really see no valid reason for anyone to leave the stadium for the next 2 and hopefully 3 games. We ask our players to play to the final whistle. It's like you plan a big golf outing with your buddies, play 12 holes with them and then just walk off the course. I really don't get it. If you are a Mountaineer fan I hope you will stay to 0:00. Completely agree with you. As I get older, I get leaving a few minutes early to beat traffic if the outcome is secure, but to leave at half time is incomprehensible.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 8:36 amI really see no valid reason for anyone to leave the stadium for the next 2 and hopefully 3 games. Re: 2:30 game time
I like the 2:30pm start time as it makes it a little easier drive back to ATL. And I never leave any sporting event early; especially App football. The 4th quarter often gives the opportunity to see the stars of tomorrow get a little playing time. Besides, truly appreciate every minute at The Rock!

Re: 2:30 game time
I don't get leaving things early, never have, specially when you pay an event. I have been asked by ushers to leave after events finish at stadiums, racetracks, theaters, etc far more times than I've ever left events early. I even sit through the credits of movies (and not just Marvel movies). In general (but not always) I find waiting for a bit afterwards a better and more enjoyable way to avoid traffic anyway.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 9:03 amCompletely agree with you. Re: 2:30 game time
Understand the points above or staying late. No need to copy the thread again. For me it is a 12 hour drive home so if I can get out of town a few minutes early I will. By a few minutes I mean with a couple of ticks on the clock.
