There's no way that's accurate. His agent is much, much smarter than that. You'll see somewhere in the middle of your expectation and that low-ball number. I'm betting around $2M/per for 4-5 years.

I shoulda prefaced this by saying source not known. I assume the 1.2 would be his base if this is correct.

I assume this is true, as many expected. What an accomplishment for SS. Only 59 people in the world are coaching a P5 football program and he’s one of them. Well deserved!

Wouldn't Satt be contractually obligated to get DG's permission to accept? Or at least obligated to inform him? So with DG saying he hasn't heard, shouldn't we cool it until tomorrow at 4:30?

He has 42 twitter followers. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he isn't the most reliable source. He may be right but I'm not gonna just take his word as gospel.

DG will. As I said in another thread, we will be just fine. We have the talent and the expectation is not lessened one bit. We can do something special next year and I believe DG will find us someone who can do that.

100% correct. He did not strip the roster. Those players all decided to just go with him.

I would fire Sexton if this was true. UL has some major hurdles to overcome and at 1.2 mil, I would be waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out from behind a curtain. Satt would not even be doubling his current base.... no way this is true.

Most up on the mountain felt this was happening for sure since last Wednesday. It is going to be an official done deal tomorrow. DG is not going to scramble because he has supposedly had a plan in place for a while now and already has names in min to replace Satt.
