If coaches won't throw in his direction, then Duck won't have that many pass break ups.

Re: Sour Grapes From Statesboro
What a joke. Ridiculous that the paper would even publish that.
Maybe the committee noticed the consistency that Satterfield had established at App. Maybe the committee thinks dropping elbows on metal chairs is Redneck and unprofessional for a head coach.
Maybe the lost focus and collapse of the team after beating App led them to believe he wasn’t the best coach in the league.
But no, it’s all a conspiracy against the uggles.
Maybe they actually weren’t happy that GSU looked like a bunch of beer spewing rednecks on national TV.

I still can’t believe Georgia Southern allowed the beer spewing @ the team school bus footage to be shown on national TV. Or the thought that it would actually be a good look for their school and program. Hysterical. The Rock wrote: ↑Tue Dec 04, 2018 6:53 amWhat a joke. Ridiculous that the paper would even publish that.

Hilarious. HeyTrav, the results of the Sun Belt Championship ARE made public, and transparent and you didn’t win. Your Iggles eked out 3rd place in the division. Congrats.
Don’t be too disappointed if you don’t get “Sports Journalist of the Year” either.

This is rich. I never took GS fans as delusional. This whole article is delusional. You want to talk travesty, how about Davis Gaither and Flory not making first team. All these other guys really don't matter after considering these two got shafted.
Satterfield was coach of the year because he was clearly the best coach. The biggest mistake he made was not losing his mind on the blown calls in the game against GS and putting in Derrick instead of Huesman. Otherwise he dominated the league.... I'd say that is worthy of COY.

Re: Sour Grapes From Statesboro
What a joke of an article.
GASO dramatically improved their team's performance this year and actually led the nation with 0 Passes Had Intercepted (LOL)
.They were 9th in Rushing Offense. Go figure... But Lunsford failed to keep their team focused when they were in the driver seat. Losing at Home to Troy and then ULM in back to back weeks. Finishing 3rd out of 5 teams in the East Division.
Meanwhile up on the mountain.... App State continues to raise the bar and is again the best of in the Sunbelt. We go 15+ rounds with Penn State. Become only the second team in the SB to be ranked in the Top 25. Win the SB East Division. Have the best regular season record in the SB. Win the 1st SB Conference Championship Game. Have the 3rd youngest team in the country. Finish the season as the only SB team with votes in both the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll. App State is tied for 9th in the country for winning percentage this season. Have a first year starter, RS sophomore QB that ranks #12 in the country for total QBR. 15th in the country in Rushing Offense. Our Defense is #6 in the country in total Defense. Our defense is 4th in the country on 1st Down Defense. 5th in the country on 4th Down Defense. 10th in the nation on 3rd Down Defense. 4th in the country in Blocked Kicks. 2nd in the country in Blocked Punts. 2nd in the country in KO returns....
I could go on.....Numbers speak for themselves. We win and the Stink, Stank, Stunk again.
It's great to be a Mountaineer.

I realize it's not until next year, however: Regardless of who our next HC is, next season when they come up the mountain we'd better open up a big can of whop ass, payback will be hell!

And no comments on that article? I’d think some people would have educated him.

That whole story just makes my day! Whoever our next coach is, he needs to know how important beating Stink is!

I know we're supposed to want our conference mates to win their bowl games for the good of raising the credibility of the Sun Belt...blah..blah..blah...but I just can't pull for those guys. I hope whoever they're playing kicks their asses...
