Trivia Thursday is when we ask a question about Appalachian State history and see who some of the most faithful Mountaineers are (or at least those with great memories). The only prize is pride if you know the answer and we'll be working off the honor system. Anyone can google the answer with enough time and let's be frank - no one likes the guy that ruins the fun by doing that every week. We'll post the answer to the prior week with a new question each Thursday and we'll try to keep the trivia questions related to the season.
Last week, we asked you to name the #1 and #2 baseball players in career runs and career doubles. We didn't even garner one guess. These two players both played fairly recently and we thought we'd get a few hits but we were wrong. The #1 player in both categories is Wes Hobson (2007-2010), with Issac Harrow (2006-2009) as a close #2.
This weeks trivia question coincides with the release of our 2013 football schedule. With the rumor mill in full swing about the possibility that Appalachian's last season in the SOCON may be right around the corner, we looked back in the record books to get a flavor for our history with the SOCON. This week, it's a 3-parter:
1) How many years have we been members of the SOCON?
2) How many winning seasons (football) have we had in the SOCON?
3) How many SOCON championships do we have?
You have to get all 3 correct in order to be considered the winner this week.
