Anyone already have his salary at NCSU? Wonder if we get a decent deal on this as well.

Cautiously optimistic. Probably one of the better hires we could have made. Far better than Gattis the "not even a coordinator" position coach, Searles the hated failure of an o-line coach and some of the other ridiculous names people tossed around.

Based on what? We are paying his salary.
Culture is important but we can’t “inbreed” too much. We hired the best candidate we can get. This time he wasn’t an insider. Next time it might be

As Joe Biden said after watching the end of the movie "Lincoln," "Man, I didn't see that one coming."

We may have to pay him about what Satt was making (with bonuses at least)./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 9:12 amhttps://packinsider.com/2017/12/07/nc-s ... ng-top-25/

I wonder if Ledford recommended Drinkwitz when he withdrew his name from consideration or if Drinkwitz was on the radar the entire time...I don't know about y'all but I enjoy saying Drinkwitz

Re: New Head Coach - Eliah Drinkwitz
Just asked a State alum buddy of mine- termed it “tragic” for the Pack. Amazing that the other 50 page threads said nothing about this guy. We know NOTHING!! Also kills me that some guys chime in with the complaint that it’s a bad hire because of the Wake game and because State ignored the run or something in the UNC game and also that Finley regressed? Stupid reasoning.
Can the guy bring in stud players, keep them eligible, hire and keep coordinators, maintain a S&C program and above all else...just don’t screw it up.

Oh BABY I'm liking this hire better and betterkornegaylw wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 9:08 amWoah...people this guy out thinks himself and gets very fancy on play calling when all you need is a yard. He didn't change anything when Ryan Finley regressed this season and basically ignored the run against UNC.

Last week when his name was thrown out, I thought it was a made up name. No idea it was a real person.

Re: New Head Coach - Eliah Drinkwitz
I personally like the hire, it's not a "splash" but I think he runs a solid system that would fit our current team.
Now. The flipside is the same issues I brought up with Ledford. NC State has "underachieved" with their talent and I have first hand knowledge of offensive players not being particularly "happy" at State. With Ledford and Drinkwitz both leaving State, maybe States problems are more of a Doeren problem..... At least we can hope....
Beat SC, beat UNC, and he will pass the smell test.

I’m not sure what to think, since I didn’t expect this at all.
