Good win for the Apps tonight. Head has really helped out alot. Time to win game two tomorrow and for the defense behind Springs to turn it around.

I'm saying this as a former player. Part of the defensive problems behind Springs come from not getting in any type of rhythm out on the mound. When your guy is constantly missing the plate and walking people it's hard to stay completely on your toes. In his first outing we had 2 errors in 3 innings and last start 4 errors in 4 innings. The rest of the season with the others pitching we've only had errors here and there. Jamie Nunn is a perfect example of this. He pounds the strikezone and even his misses are right around the plate.

Take it for what it's worth. Just my .02.

I'll give you that one, but I'm sure you agree that when the ball is hit on the ground in the infield, the play has to be made. Hopefully, this will all be moot by late afternoon.

Yes hopefully it's a mute point and I completely agree if its hit on the ground we must make the play.

Springs has started two games against Canisius and Butler and has yet to pitch 4 full innings. No, the defense hasn't been great, but Springs has yet to look like a Saturday starter this season. Let's hope he turns it around.

Hopefully Jones puts Seniority aside and lets Head be the full time starter at 3rd base. He's earned it on both sides of the ball.

Seniority aside?? Head as been at app longer than Holmes. Just hasn't played in the past. Head is a red shirt junior.

Mike, not sure if you have an iPhone or not, but I wasn't getting them either until I saw a small link at the bottom of the page that says "View Stats on your Moblie Device." Now it's working for me. You might give that a try.
