That's one way to keep it out of the hands of the defense. I do have a good feeling that will come around, but our bats and arms will have to carry them for the next few weeks.

Re: Davidson
Back to back stolen bases for Crespo and then a wild pitch allowed him to score! 7-0 Apps I believe. Their announcers are starting to grumble a bit haha I love it.

Re: Davidson
Thats how it should have been all weekend. We didn't really show up the first 2 games and let a team that isn't as good as us keep it close, and it bit us on Sat. I talked to a friend of mine who used to work in the Davidson athletic dept. and she said the baseball team only has 2 schollies. that blew my mindhapapp wrote:Moore with a 1-2-3 9th inning to seal the 10-4 win for the Apps.

Way to take the series.
In other SOCON baseball action, preseason favorite Elon lost two of three at home this weekend to Furman. The Apps travel to Furman next weekend.

Nice way to bounce back from a tough loss on Saturday. I'm even more excited about this coaching staff and this group of players after watching them yesterday. We're much more aggressive on the mound, and seem to have a confident but relaxed attitude. Furman now looks to be a big early season match up this weekend.

They probably planned on scouting the Wolf Pack all year, saw the first game of the season, and defected to App StateViewCrew87 wrote:5 scouts there yesterday.

Re: Davidson
Did you happen to see any of the pitchers throw last year? We had two of the top starters in the SoCon, in Grant and Arrowood. Both were very aggressive pitchers.JTApps1 wrote:Nice way to bounce back from a tough loss on Saturday. And as far as the relaxed and confident attitude. That also started last season. Those guys were a ball to watch play. Literally not intimidated by any team. Now, that confidence has rubbed off on the younger guys. And hopefully it keeps snowballing.

Re: Davidson
I went to 6 or 7 games last year and also watched every game available on the web. My comment about being aggressive had nothing to do with the pitchers but rather pitch selection.
As far as attitude I never said last years team didn't have the a similar vibe. Why can't someone compliment one team without it being seen as an attack of another?

That's makin a comparison. My comment only was made to show that the program is moving in the right direction. Everything builds off of the guys that led the team the year before. I was just trying to recognize that good traits and team identities can be passed down year to year. That shows that the juniors that turned into seniors are providing the right kind of leadership. That's all. No need to take offense. I did not disagree with a word you said. Just suggesting that it might not be something new
