The doughnuts at Carolina Pharmacy were the best that I have ever eaten!

During my grad school year ('70) I had a 9 AM until noon seminar class with five fellow students and the prof. My standing assignment was to bring the doughnuts from Carolina Pharmacy. They always had 'em ready for me to pick up at 8:45. Always still hot...6 glazed-cherry cake and 6 chocolate-iced cake. It was a three-hour class, but the doughnuts were gone by 9:30.

Nothing beats the either 3 or 4 dogs for $1 at the shell station on 321 back in the 80’s. Mmmm good and cheap late at night.

Oh, was it? Memory failing a bit, like I couldn’t remember if it was 3 or 4 dogs for a buck. Of course, when eating there things were a little fuzzy that late at night.

The old A&P deli had a similar deal. Three dogs, chili and onions for a $1.50 at noon. By 3 pm they were marked down to $1.00. Also used to eat one meal a day at he Pizza Hut buffet. $4 0r $5 all you can eat.
Broke college students can find the deals.... Think I lived on a jar of p nut butter and a box of saltines for about a week once...

Vienna sausages and saltines too. Can't stand the sight of them now. Probably the reason for one of the hypertensive medications I'm on now.

Thank you for the heads up. I will discontinue the eating of Vienna Sausage. I'm not as poor as I was in school but still find myself eating them from time to time.

Who would we choose as WR coach if we were choosing?

Apparently Drink has two guys in mind, couldn't get any names though. He said that both were top notch guys, but I guess we will have to wait and see. I just want good teachers at the position who can fine tune our skill guys.

Appstatealum anything new? Anybody else heard anything about our last coaching spot? GO APPS!!

Wow, the delirious runs deep with our friends in Charlotte. As us Charlotteans know, no one cares about Charlotte football. It would take a long time for them to get to a point of relevancy and I’m pretty sure the AAC would not want to wait. The AAC’s goal is elevate their football to maintain relevance in the power football landscape, Charlotte would water down their conference.

Overhead a male Charlotte fan talking to a female with an ECU shirt on while waiting for my daughter's dance class to get out. The Charlotte fan starting talking to ECU girl who appeared not to give a sh*t.
He brought up Mike Houston and how him going to ECU ended up being good for both programs because Charlotte didn't want Houston and they were really happy with the coach they hired. I wanted to remind him that they fired a 5-7 FBS coach to hire a 6-6 FCS coach, but decided to just observe.

The face on Charlotte fans when they realize that App has a larger share of the Charlotte market than Charlotte. Even has the right colored jacket.
